What’s happened today to make it a good day?

I’ll start:
I’ve been planning on moving and found a house I really like (moving to a Victorian terrace from a four bedroom house that I rattle around in as I’m about to retire), but couldn’t really make a move until I had an offer on my house. But, this morning after a bit of negotiation I accepted an offer and was then able to offer on the property I like (city centre location but very quiet, with its own parking and very tastefully done). That also took a bit of negotiation but my second offer was accepted!
Then to top it off, DC2, who had been made redundant (and who struggles massively socially and has a significant sensory impairment) got a new job today.
To say I’m absolutely thrilled for them is an understatement.
My other DC is coming to visit tomorrow with my newish grandchild.
Obviously I’m not counting my chickens until they’ve hatched on the housing front, but I’m taking the three things as a lucky omen, which is lovely for me as I’m usually the person that things don’t go well for (to give an example I’m 75 weeks waiting for a procedure to relieve back pain officially but it’s really round about three years).
🍀🍀🍀
How about you?

I completed financial year end for my organisation. Bob MacIntyre is doing well at the golf, Rugby world cup starts and the Vuelta starts tomorrow. AC/DC were brilliant at Murrayfield yesterday. All good!

I did one of my favourite things which was to walk home from the city centre (1.5-2 hours) whilst pushing sleeping DS in the pushchair and listening to podcasts.

Picked masses of brambles today to make bramble syrup. This will go alongside my rosehip syrup and plum vodka. All the bounties of autumn.

I was ill and had to take the day off (D&V), so I slept a lot, which was lovely.

I also managed to get some admin done which I’ve been too tired to tackle, so I feel quietly pleased with myself.

I got the honour of walking my grandchild while giving my dc a rest yesterday evening. My GC was delightful during the stay and I got a few snaps of them with a lovely smile at only just over three months. It brought real joy to my heart.

@Hedjwitch, at some point I will get back into making Nelson’s Blood and sloe gin. Real echoes of the winter season. 😊
