If you’re 5’5 and weight 9 1/2 stone what clothes size are you please?

Hi, I’m in the process of losing weight and 9 1/2 is the middle of the healthy bmi guidance and I’m wondering what clothes size this is pls. I know it will be different for different people and in different shops but I’m just looking for the range.

12 to 14, but shops vary so much.

At that weight I was 8/10/12 depending on the cut of clothes and which shop I bought from.

I’m that height and weight and my go to is a size 12 but I sometimes end up with a size 10 depending on the style/fit of the piece of clothing.

I’m a 10 at 9st 7 but have wide hips (8 on top), currently 10-12 at 10st 2 and look better at this weight than half a stone lighter as my boobs go saggy (32E at this size).

Don't be daft! I'm an inch taller and two stone heavier and am a 10/12/14 bottom to top.

I’m 5ft 6 have lost 3 stone and down to 10st but I’m still wearing a size 16 😭

I’m currently 10 stone 9 pounds and wearing size 16 on the bottoms and 12/14 on the top.

I always find these threads fascinating! I rely on measurements more than sizes now as there’s so much variance.

I honestly can't imagine how anyone at 5ft 5 and 9.5 stone could need a size 14.

I'm 5ft 5 and currently 14 stone so have quite a bit left to lose - and my tops are all 14 or 16 (depending on the style). It's hard to imagine that someone 4.5 stone lighter than me would need the same size top.

I’m 5’4” and 12 stone 1.

I’ve lost 4.5 stones on Mounjaro and am now a 16 top, 14 bottom, but I feel skinny 🤣🤣

5’6 and 10/12 at 11 stone (skirts tend to be 10, some trousers 10, jeans 12, tops 12 cos I’m have a larger chest.

If I could get back to 10st 4 I would nicely fit into size 10 jeans again!

9.5st would be size 8 for me in everything I reckon, jeans and tops!

Honestly, it's baffling to me. I'm the same height and 14st and all of my bottoms are currently size 16...18's fall off me. And I have small boobs, diastis recti, plus I carry a lot of weight around my middle - so it's not like my weight is due to massive boobs and calves or anything. My waist is my problem area but I still fit decently into all 16 jeans.

Are you sure you're not just wearing bottoms that are actually too large? The type of swishy elasticated waist things that would actually 'fit' both a size 10 and a size 18 and look fine on both?

Apple shaped I bet! I'm 11 stone and 5'4 and a 16 at the moment to account for my tummy! My arms and legs are hardly any different from when I was 9 stone.

Interesting - am 5ft 5 and 10.5st. I’m a size 10. I’d be too skinny at 9.5st and would be an 8, I think.

I am this and I’m a 10 or 12 depending on the retailer.

It really shows how shapes differ, regardless of weight.

Those are my exact measurements! For me I’ve always needed a 10-12 on top due to the 32F bra size but then an 8-10 on the bottom normally feels right, 8 or 10 depending on the style (tracksuits, tight jeans etc!)

I wear a size 8-10 clothes at this height and weight. Depends on the shop of course though.

Im 5.5 but not quite there yet but when I was I was a size 8 waist and 10 tops and trousers.
