this is mine for the day

it was previously owned by Ian Fleming and Noel Coward

realistically I probably wouldn’t buy a property right on the beach, but for fantasy purposes I’d take it.

Check out this 3 bedroom detached house for sale on Rightmove

3 bedroom detached house for sale in The Bay, St Margarets Bay, Kent, CT15 for £1,750,000. Marketed by Strutt and Parker, Canterbury

@Londonmummy66 that's lovely, they haven't gone for the footballers interiors. I need neighbours though 😆

Billybagpuss · 07/08/2025 21:00

2 questions
can you swim in the Thames there? And where did they get those sofas from in the last one.

@ProseccoandPizzathat Kemeys property was rented by someone high up in a pyramid scheme called Forever Living. The rent was paid by her wealthy parents and Forever Living to position her as super successful making it easier to recruit more victims who believed she had bought it due to her success in the pyramid scheme. Those she recruited couldn’t emulate her success because it wasn’t real. Sorry, probably not an interesting bit of its history!

waitingforpost · 07/08/2025 21:04

@Billybagpuss probably not safe too but could likely kayak etc

waitingforpost · 07/08/2025 21:07

Actually that Wimbledon one I linked, the previous sale prices look really odd.

Teenytwo · 07/08/2025 21:29

I know this sounds ridiculous, that last one has too much space. The gaps between things just feels empty, probably very unlikely to buy upgrade from my little two bed anytime soon so not a massive problem for me right now.

Londonmummy66 · 07/08/2025 15:53

Wasn't that one featured in the fly on the wall documentary about Savills?

I think I'd prefer this one - looks just like Longbourne.... https://www.fineandcountry.co.uk/derbyshire-estate-agents/property-sale/6-bedroom-detached-house-for-sale-in-de6-3ah-ashbourne-longford/3817659

This is lovely! I really like the proportions of Georgian houses. We may have to arm wrestle for this one.

I think I could be very happy here ♥️

A bit overlooked by neighbours.

This would be mine - think I’d need the Euromillions rather than the normal lottery though!

May have to fight you for this.

ProseccoandPizza · 07/08/2025 21:35

@YouOKHun Oohh that is interesting and totally makes sense given what I’ve seen over the years with old friends doing Forever Living!

Oh, holy cow!!!

I could walk to work from here. You get a good deal for your money in Lincolnshire.

You'll need the Euromillions as the service charge is EIGHTEEN THOUSAND POUNDS A YEAR!!!!

Small change when I am a multi millionaire 😁

Yes you can as it is upriver of Teddington Lock. There is a group of ladies who swim between Teddington and Kingston. I saw them several times when I was marathon training on the Thames path.

It has its own soft play area. It's about 5 miles from where I currently live.

Yes, this one for me please. Absolutely beautiful.

outdooryone · 08/08/2025 09:13

I won the lottery last night.
£10 of course.
So none of this thread.
Dammit.
