My son was mistaken for a girl

Admittedly he does have beautiful shoulder length curls. But he is also 17 years old with a deep voice and a moustache! It's not like he's a toddler. No question about gender either, i was just asked what "her" name was by a random stranger. Ds was not impressed at all.

Oh well, it was an “elderly” lady. That explains everything. Shortsighted, insensitive, stupid-anything is possible.

@330ml

I have blonde curly hair. I was once mistaken for a dog.
My mind took me straight to this advert@ 😆 🤣

Both my boys have alternated between short and long hair and been called girls more than once. They just shrug. Only time it's actually been a bother was ds1 was scrutinised at passport control as his passport has him with v long hair and now he doesn't. He passed the biometric scan though.

Well it presumably is a decent chunk more likely that someone older has cataracts, especially as lots of areas don't operate unless you have two severe cataracts, and therefore that their vision might well be such that they can't make a judgement as easily as someone younger? I don't think that seems particularly problematic to me?

Obviously not the stupid or insensitive parts!

I got over it.

A cockerpoo? But did they think you were a male cockerpoo? 😀
