Lived experience.

You're doing amazing. It's amazingLY. If you're describing a verb then you need an adverb, not an adjective.

BitSilly · 15/07/2025 12:17

Starting a sentence with
'Don't take this the wrong way...'

OP posts:
Frogy11 · 15/07/2025 12:17

"... this one" referring to a partner.

Journey used after everything. My fitness journey. My gob shite journey.
It is what it is.
For me.....bla bla.

Edited

Gob shite journey 😅

EvilDJ · 15/07/2025 12:18

”I asked ChatGPT…” use your brain.
Doing or done when referring to visiting somewhere. It sounds arrogant and aggressive.
All the language used to show how easy something is to cook, chuck, bung, throw, sling etc.
You do realise… on MN threads makes me eye roll, I always read it in the voice of Margot from the GoodLife.
When people refer to mundane things as being fun. For example I saw someone refer to ordering Hello Fresh rather fun and someone else call wearing a denim dress fun.
When people drop the to. “I’m going Tesco”
“Let’s go Maccies”

TroysMammy · 15/07/2025 12:18

Bang on trend. Usually said in craft magazines and online craft sites and the one my DM used when she was younger "all the rage".

DuskyPink1984 · 15/07/2025 12:19

Most recently: 'deep in the trenches.'

mysecretshame · 15/07/2025 12:19

And so it begins .... about something that started ages earlier.

Falling pregnant.
End of.
Politely .... followed by something really rude. (only seen on mumsnet)

DH always "turns around" when he tells a story, it adds about half an hour to the narrative.
Also hate endless use of narrative.

carkerpartridge · 15/07/2025 12:19

We are pregnant
Trying for a baby
Anything that's "Curated"

PourUsAGlass · 15/07/2025 12:20

Bobblebiscuits296 · 15/07/2025 12:00

Oh yes ^agree! My little man is even worse!

Or "little legs"

BitSilly · 15/07/2025 12:21

Politely .... followed by something really rude. (only seen on mumsnet)

Also 'Respectfully...'

Haha!! Not sure if this just in the area where I am from but we all say this!! ‘He turned round and said…’ as though everyone we’re having conversations with have their backs to us!!

“She turned round and talked about me behind my back” always makes me laugh!

EvilDJ · 15/07/2025 12:22

PourUsAGlass · 15/07/2025 12:20

Or "little legs"

Hate little legs, also littlun.

BitSilly · 15/07/2025 12:22

People who think they've won the argument when they say 'End of' cracks me up.

OP posts:
thesadwitch01 · 15/07/2025 12:23

Lil man
Ickle Bubba
Fell pregnant, or even worse We got pregnant
Any form of journey whatsoever
Lived experience
Creative juices / juices flowing
Whet your appetite
Bless or bless her / him
Lol - especially when used to qualify any sentence or statement which would be fine in itself, i.e, “I can’t come out tonight LOL.”

VexedofVirginiaWater · 15/07/2025 12:23

KittytheHare · 15/07/2025 11:59

Pop of colour

Oh yes - and "makes your eyes pop" - eww hope not!

phlossy · 15/07/2025 12:24

self love

i know what it’s supposed to mean but i just think masturbating

Humanswarm · 15/07/2025 12:25

'They was there/at the party/playing football' rather than ' They were..'. Argh.

Summerartwitch · 15/07/2025 12:25

'you do you'
'Lived experience'
'Living your best life'
'like' when starting a sentence
'Making memories'
'Catching feelings'
'lol'
'baby daddy'
'we are pregnant'
'elevate'
'curated'
Grown using words like 'yummy' and 'crummy'.

Mostly all the psychobabble and so called influencers nonsense...

LadySuzanne · 15/07/2025 12:25

"use your words" - so patronising to say this to an adult.

"I am blessed"

"a red shoe", "a wide-leg trouser", "a smoky eye"

*love language"

"literally", "gaslighting" and "I myself".

"baby daddy"

"authentic self"

"I don't know who needs to hear this..."

"I'll wait"

*I was today years old..."

"I can't..."

"I could care less...*

JoyDivision79 · 15/07/2025 12:25

BitSilly · 15/07/2025 12:21

Politely .... followed by something really rude. (only seen on mumsnet)

Yes.
Also 'Respectfully...'

Yes this is really frustrating. One might as well replace ' respectfully OP' with 🖕.

It's the same as ending a statement that translates to 🖕 with a.....'sorry'.

I am known to say ' it's a no brainer'. I make myself cringe. ☺️😆 It says so much for me when discussing what to do about a given situation. Unfortunately, a bit cheesy.

Katiesaidthat · 15/07/2025 12:26

"No skin off my nose", I can just picture their nose full of scabs. Always hated this expression.

BitSilly · 15/07/2025 12:27

RepoTheGeriatricOpera · 15/07/2025 12:05

Neurospicy

Even worse - neurosparkly

These are new to me!

Steelworks · 15/07/2025 11:59

‘See you later’ when said by cashiers in supermarkets etc. No, you are not seeing me later, unless you’re stalking me.

Oh I say that, you never know you may see them later as in later in this lifetime, not the same day.

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 15/07/2025 12:28

Literally (it rarely is)

She passed (instead of she died)

invite (used as a noun)
