A place I like to call home
Thick as mince
Sick in my mouth
Sick to my stomach

SuburbanSprawl · 15/07/2025 14:08

"I'm not being funny, but..."

"We are where we are."

"Job's a good'un."

".....babes"

"You need to......." No, you want me to. Watch this - I'll show that I don't need to.

Politely .... followed by something really rude. (only seen on mumsnet)

Yes.
Also 'Respectfully...'

And Kindly. Usually professing a fairly unkind opinion.

Beachpelican · 15/07/2025 14:09

Give your head a wobble

Impatient6227 · 15/07/2025 14:10

Hubby, hubs, hubster 🤢

Cattenberg · 15/07/2025 14:11

And hublet

BeanQuisine · 15/07/2025 14:11

Adding "to be honest" to any expression of opinion.

"I like the plain salted ones best, tbh", as if it's common to expect people to lie about such things.

Frauhubert · 15/07/2025 14:12

I’m a (insert any noun) GIRLY 🤢🤢🤢

i’m a pilates and matcha latte kinda girly 😷😷😷

Fluffybagel · 15/07/2025 14:12

She turned round and said….

I hate this one too - I heard it so many times in one conversation, I’m surprised the person didn’t fall over from giddiness…….!

YesHonestly · 15/07/2025 14:13

“Likkle prince/princess”

When people add “much” to the end of a sentence/word, I see it all the time on here. “Jealous much?”

MotherofPearl · 15/07/2025 14:15

At this moment in time

Archert · 15/07/2025 14:15

"I'm like..." when they mean 'and then I said or I did'.

ReginaTucker · 15/07/2025 14:15

Instagrammers “jumping on” to make announcements. Faaaaaaaaack offfffffff!!!

Astrabees · 15/07/2025 14:16

"A hill to die on" it is used a lot on here and is just a horrible expression, I;m not a Christian but I'd find it ultra offensive if I was.

minerva7 · 15/07/2025 14:16

My bad.

GoneGirl12345 · 15/07/2025 14:18

I love gobshite journey 🤣🤣🤣

Completely agree with "lived experience". It's over used and a lazy way to counter empirical evidence.

When people say "myself" in the wrong context. Makes them sound simple.

And "X more sleeps until our holibobs!!"

Fuck off.

WestwardHo1 · 15/07/2025 14:19

"You got this"

I loathe this. It's often said to people who have had awful things happen to them, e.g. woman whose husband has fucked off leaving her with no money and four kids. Like she's not allowed to fall apart at all because hey, she's a strong mama bear or something. I always think that people who say this don't actually want to engage with their friend's pain - it's said more for their own benefit.

Plus it's missing the word "have".

Why? It's nothing to do with Jesus, it's a military thing.

Or 'I'm now going in with ....' a bronze eyeshadow, the dark contour etc - I'm now going in with my fist......

'Creative juices' is awful.

Came on specifically to say this. My old manager used to say it frequently and I winced every time.

DaxieTaxi · 15/07/2025 14:19

Oh and 'in future'. I don't know why but whenever I hear or read this, I get serious rage.

Archert · 15/07/2025 14:20

There was a time recently (thankfully now over) when everything commented on by politicians in Westminster was 'for the birds'

Newgolddream70 · 15/07/2025 14:21

My ex says ‘utilise’ when it should be ‘use’. I am sure he thinks it makes him sound more intelligent.

Also being asked in an email to expedite something. Expedite my arse!!

BitSilly · 15/07/2025 14:22

Cattenberg · 15/07/2025 14:11

And hublet

And wifey.

And Mumsy.
