Cool cities to visit with a 21 yr old

Im treating my dd to a 5 day city break for her 21st next year.

We each have to come up with 5 choices then narrow it down.

So fat I have New York and New Orleans.

Not feeling Paris, Rome, Amsterdam she's not that kind of person.

Dont mind long haul but we only have around 5 days in reality.

If musical theatre is her thing then only New York (or London if you don’t live there) makes sense really. It’s super expensive but there’s deals if you look out for them, 5 nights is enough as it’s pretty full on.

Yes Budapest is easy to get to from Vienna.
i didn’t get the love for Vienna though tbh.
Budapest or Barcelona would be my choices. Porto is beautiful but 5 days is too many. DD is 21 and loved these places. She also loved Venice.
If you’re dd is into game of thrones then Dubrovnik is great.

Ghent and Bruges.

Alternative to Romania, possibly a little less rough and ready, would be Bavaria. You can base yourself in Munich or Nuremberg, both fine cities themselves, and visit the castles/old towns around eg Bamberg, Regensburg. Again there are tours that put it all together for you or you can just book hotels/trains to suit.
