My cat just jumped up on and plonked himself in the middle of our Scrabble game, cleaned his nethers for a bit, then jumped back down, knocking the letters about. Good job he's cute.

Chewed the strings off my outdoor chair padded cushions.🤣
2 yr old orange cat behaviour.😹😹

Auroraofthedawn · 13/07/2025 18:48

My cat killed a blackbird this morning. Bastard. He had a collar with a giant bell which has thwarted him since he managed to catch one recently that we saved in time, but he’s lost the bell and I hadn’t got round to putting his new one on. I know he’s a cat but I have five cats and they rarely catch anything ever and I adore birds so was absolutely gutted.

chunkybear · 13/07/2025 18:50

She keeps on squeaking her squeaky ball 🙀

MaMisled · 13/07/2025 18:59

They have been repeatedly dropping toy hedgehogs and piggies at my feet and growling/ begging me to throw them ALL.DAY.LONG. They were in the woods from 7am til 9am and will be again from around 8pm to 9pm. I think that's MORE than generous!!

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 13/07/2025 19:06

My cat has managed to lose the remote control for my fan. Obviously knocked it off the bedside table and kicked it about. It must have gone under a piece of furniture but I’ve laid on the floor with a torch and can’t see it anywhere. She’s already ‘disappeared’ a pair of my reading glasses in the same way. 🤬

EvilNextDoor · 13/07/2025 19:08

My normally lovely but very heavily pregnant foster cat is in a total mood today..

I am blaming it on her being hormonal, hot and pissed off

So far…she’s come for affection then bitten/scratched me, demanded I fed her then turned her nose up at it, same with the water bowl demanded fresh water then refused to drink it, swiped at the dog for daring to even walk past…had a shit next to the litter tray thank god I put puppy training pads down.
Keeps going to the back door to be let into the catio then refusing to actually go outside, she’s just generally being a total jerk!

i am aware that the kittens will be here soon and probably why she’s so out of sorts

Noshadowsinthedark · 13/07/2025 19:10

Sat outside looking lost and crying at passers by. Even leading to a FB post about the poor mog.

As soon as anyone approached him he would come in the (open all day) house for a fuss, bit of food or what have you, then he would repeat.

We had no idea what he was up to.

istabraq · 13/07/2025 19:16

Dog somehow found the only wet, muddy ground in the whole of the UK to luxuriously roll in. In secret. No idea how she found it till she mud whipped up as she ran past in triumph.

Horse ate a button off my nice dress.

One of the cats has developed the appetite of a velociraptor. The other one is barely eating.

Have you got a selection of boxes/beds/a clear space under your bed and a puppy pad in the bottom of your wardrobe?

That sounds like how I was the day before I went into labour. Except for the shitting; too much bloody baby for any of that business.

MoonWoman69 · 13/07/2025 19:39

Both my black kittens (they're brother and sister, I delivered them when they we're born, they're over a year old but I still refer to them as kittens!) have been finding cool places to sleep at the bottom of the garden mainly.
DH has been away for the weekend, but they have been quite active!

Sabre, the boy, has -
Saturday early hours - Brought a live mouse in through the bedroom window at 2am, then proceeded to chase it round the kitchen. I couldn't move the fridge, so I went back to bed, ready to try and deal with when I got up. Only to come down and find a half eaten, disemboweled mouse on the kitchen floor.
Slit a packet of treats open at the bottom, therefore creating himself a dispenser for the Crispies!
Caught several moths and one large cabbage white butterfly, which I did manage to rescue!
Used my heavily bandaged, very sore toe as a cushion to lean on, while he had a wash.
Let me blow him on a gentle setting, with my hand fan!
Laid on the second stair down, plotting my demise!
Suki has -
Been cute.
Decided that she simply must, even though it was the same temperature as hell, lay along the side of me on the bed, so that I could rub her tummy from top to bottom. When I tried to nap, she decided she simply must, have her hot toes on my legs! Didn't matter if I moved, she waited til I was settled and planted them on me again!
Took her brother "down" on the landing, pinned him to the carpet and proceeded to viciously wash his head - and he let her! Until he noticed I was watching and decided that he wasn't really a wussy, slapped his sister on the shoulder and ran downstairs!
Chased flies in the garden, then got mad that she couldn't catch one!
DH came home this morning and they've been on their best behaviour, once they finally appeared! 🤣

VioletsandDill · 13/07/2025 19:40

These are brilliant! 😂😂 Oh, for the laugh reaction back!

Dcat has this evening been attempting to catch the squirrels on our hazelnut tree, which are all far too clever for him. In protest of not being successful, has spent 15 minutes digging up my flower patch and spraying mud all over the patio.

JoshLymanSwagger · 13/07/2025 20:39

@VioletsandDill Surely he's just helping with the gardening? 😹

NeverDropYourMooncup · 13/07/2025 21:04

Oh, for God's sake.

The knob's been sleeping under the Sparrow Tree.

Guess what else I've had to get out of his fur this time as well as ten billion more wild Geranium seeds?

Mybeautifuldogs · 13/07/2025 21:09

My St Bernard decided to dive in my bath before I did, she sat there looking so pleased with herself aa she played with the bubbles.

My Yorkshire terrier jumped in her dog pool in the garden and then dived straight up to my bed and rolled all over my pillows, so they are all nice and soggy now.

Good job I love them.

Bonjovispyjamas · 13/07/2025 21:11

My foster cat just puked on my bed 😕

Dontlletmedownbruce · 13/07/2025 21:12

On Thursday we got a new carpet fitted in DDs bedroom so had the room cleared. The fitters said not to go in for an hour to let the glue to dry so I left the door open. I went to get some groceries and came back to find my dog had popped all over the brand new unstepped on carpet. Stupid bitch

pinneddownbytabbies · 13/07/2025 21:14

Literally a couple of minutes ago: one of our cats decided to launch himself out of the upstairs bedroom window. As luck would have it, DH was in the room at the time, and managed to grab the departing backside and haul him back in.😂

Middlemarch123 · 13/07/2025 21:24

Chairman Meow walked on the remote control thereby turning off TV at Championship point. So I missed it, after being glued to the Tennis final for hours. Decided that the new fresh litter in his newly scrubbed tray was not to his liking, so dumped next to the tray instead.

Refused his tuna dinner, but ate the exact same off other cats plate, swiping the smallest one across her nose for protesting.

Settling down on a pile of freshly dried laundry to snooze, leaving fur all over son’s new white top.

He really has excelled himself today. Now positioned his fat bum in the middle of my pillow, waiting for his Dreamies. I love him though and wouldn’t be without him.

MagpieCastle · 13/07/2025 21:30

Dog ate fox poo then ran into the house and hid with a huge dried leaf that he was attempting to eat, resulting in me crawling under the table to engage in leaf tug of war. Cat is currently sitting on sofa opposite yowling his loudest 'fuuuuuud, gimmie fuuuud' cry but whenever I offer him anything to eat he glares and stalks off. When not dominating the sofa he stretches out in the coolest place in the house which is also the ideal location to trip up the maximum number of unsuspecting humans. Both of them are grumpy and seem to think that I'm personally responsible for not turning down the sun to an acceptable heat level and so are determined to get revenge.

murasaki · 13/07/2025 21:31

Fat boy fat, aka my perfect ginger prince, has decided to semi deseed himself on top of my pile of fresh from the line laundry that was sat on a chair waiting to go upstairs.

Twat cat.

EvilNextDoor · 13/07/2025 21:37

@NeverDropYourMooncup

she’s got several boxes all dotted around the house in random places I’ve seen her just lie down and chill, she’s just extra cantankerous today I’m expecting the kittens in the next couple of days

ExitPursuedByABare · 13/07/2025 21:42

Twatdog has chewed off my outside drain pipes. 😱

Itsnottheheatitsthehumidity · 13/07/2025 21:44

DCat puked a watery hairball onto my freshly washed duvet set.

Ha ha ha- he wants and loves your company and attention- that scrabble is just taking away too much of your focus from his cuteness!

My two dogs are always up to mischief when our backs are turned- we now have baby gate to keep them from creeping around and stealing forgotten muesli bars from my bag in my bedroom.

Dumbitdown · 13/07/2025 21:52

My cat knocked the kitchen tap on while I was at work. She must have knocked the cloth into the sink at the same time, which blocked the drain. Entire ground floor was under water by the time I got back from work, at 10pm.

Can't be annoyed at her though, even though the dishwasher and robot are both kaput...
