Overseas / foreign food you miss?

I salivate at the thought of Yang's Dumplings in China. Fried and crispy on the bottom. Filled with either pork and onion OR prawns, with a little soup in them too. Topped with sesame seeds.

Also xiao long bao, steamed soup dumplings.

OMG. My mouth is watering at the thought and it is YEARS since I've had them.

We too pine for the Poutinerie stall in Brick Lane. The only other place we've found is a Canadian bar in Covent Garden called the Maple Leaf.

New Orleans food. We live in London and usually when we come back from holiday we can find most food in London, but not that. The bbq shrimp. Mmmmm...

Sadly I'm not. I would pay a lot for a good xiao long bao.

You can buy frozen ones from Chinese supermarkets but of course they are no where close to real xiaolongbao. If you ever go on a long hual, transisting in Shanghai or other major cities you can now enter without a visa for 10 days and eat as much as you can
