The rain that went torrential as I was loading up the car with stuff for the charity shop 🌧

Hadalifeonce · 06/07/2025 14:38

Doing a load of online banking this morning, right in the middle of make a payment, the system logged me out as I hadn't used the system for over 5 minutes.

SleeplessInWherever · 06/07/2025 14:39

I’ve got a hangover and the child

Will. Not. Stop. Whinging.

He’s currently upstairs complaining about shoes.

I just want to go to bed, ideally with a burger, and think about how much I regret my life choices/that 6th pornstar martini.

Me. I annoyed myself.
When at the park, we went into adjacent woods. The dog (groomed yesterday) found a stagnant deep bit of water that was mud at the bottom. Also deep sides so she might struggle to get out. She dived it.
So I yelled louder than I usually would "No.No. Here now. NO. Get out NOW". Ina big cross voice.

To the amusement of a dog owner I'd not spotted who smirked at me as his dog trotted beautifully next to him, ignoring the stinky water.

To be fair to my dog, she did immediate recall. Just came back smelly and a shade of black/brown slime mud.

ForeverTipsy · 06/07/2025 14:50

Just hung my washing out as the shower had passed.

It started spotting. Meh, I thought it'll be a really light, short shower like before.

Cue torrential rain.

I'm just gonna leave it out there for a few days now...

Headfullofbees · 06/07/2025 14:53

A spider caught a bee in its web at least three days ago and hasn't eaten it. So wasteful!!

mamaduckbone · 06/07/2025 14:54

Dh got the bread board out and cut bread, making crumbs, 30 seconds after I had wiped the surfaces and put the bread board away.

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 06/07/2025 14:54

I have a teeny tiny cut on my thumb, which has now had sea salt and lime juice in it.

shellyleppard · 06/07/2025 14:55

@ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews ouch that must really really sting 😳

I also annoyed myself today.

On autopilot I got a shallow trolley at Lidl.
Got 3 feet into the shop, realised I was there for the big 10% off shop... But for reasons unknown I continued with the small trolley.

What a complete bellend.

Obviously I got halfway round and finally accepted I was not going to have room for everything and had to abandon full trolley to go outside to get a big one/decant/return shallow one. I was all panic sweaty & I'm sure Lidl now think I'm a shoplifter.

I can't be banned. I love Lidl.

A large juicy yellow head has erupted on my nose.

CatBooksWineInThatOrder · 06/07/2025 15:10

I opened a new box of crackers to have with some cheese and most of them are broken.

idolikealiein · 06/07/2025 15:12

Despite wearing gardening gloves I still have dirt under my finger nails

Peachee · 06/07/2025 15:13

i have realised I’m the only adult in our family not to attend a major music concert this year.. boohoo to me..

strawlight · 06/07/2025 15:13

My husband made me a sandwich (good) but cut it in half the wrong way (bad). I prefer triangles. What a bastard.

ChocolateMagnum · 06/07/2025 15:14

People saying or writing 'step foot' instead of 'set foot'. It's my current pedantic bugbear.

PatsyOhara · 06/07/2025 15:15

Adding a new one. The fail safe tutorial on waving hair with straighteners. Nope. Not on me it isn't. Now got a mad wild under layer of weirdly kinked strands and given up

We were given a yellow thunderstorm warning but have clear blue skies. I love a good storm.

We had your storm and it keeps raining on and off and I wanted to hang washing out

PatsyOhara · 06/07/2025 15:17

@CatBooksWineInThatOrder this is the worst yet I think.
Along with me finding that SH hasn't sealed the corn cakes and I was going to have some for lunch with cheese

@Iamacatslave surely this could give you an opportunity to enjoy the squeeze ?

This isn't tiny: it's HUGE.

I've been buying packs of nectarines in Waitrose - they're delicious right now. £3 for a pack of 4, or £4 for 2 packs (8 nectarines). Fairly reasonable for a sweet, juicy summer treat.

Only the Waitrose bastards have changed
all their packs to have 3 in a pack. So I used to have 33% more for the same price. And we're a family of 4 so it's all wrong.

I’ve tried. It’s not quite ripe for a juicy pop 🤣

OohhhhhBigStretch · 06/07/2025 15:38

I went to buy a hoover today, and it’s not in stock so I’ve got to wait until Tuesday

Now this would piss me off big time.

Were you all excited? 😣
