If you love a nap how old are you?

I'm 57 and I'd say I've been loving a nap for at least 5 years. Used to also have them when younger if I'd had a busy day.

Just curious to see if anyone else loves naps and how old you are? I wondered if it's an age thing but I didn't think I was old yet 🙈

42, but I also loved a nap when I was a lot younger, I just didn’t realise what a privilege it was

K0OLA1D · 03/07/2025 21:33

35, I nap almost every day. I can't sleep at night very well though

Doggymummar · 03/07/2025 21:34

I had two naps today and am just going to bed now. 56

humptydumptyfelloff · 03/07/2025 21:36

Mid 40s.
love a nap on a weekend.
normally Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours curled up on the sofa.
during lockdown I napped every afternoon for an hour and it really made a difference to my energy levels.

I have a buggered thyroid so struggle nowadays with tireness

Mid 40's and I do like a nap but I also remember coming in from high school and napping. I've always loved a nap.

dafolillie · 03/07/2025 22:01

early 40s love a nap

MsRosewater · 03/07/2025 22:01

I love naps (aka snoozes) ; they were a weekend fixture from 25-40 which is the age I was when DD now 7 (tragically IMO) dropped hers… I miss them ++.

I’m having a shit time at work at the moment however an unexpected upside of being sidelined, bored and WFH is renewed nap-opportunities ..

Loafbeginsat60 · 03/07/2025 22:01

44 but usually when poorly or haven't slept well due to snoring dh

I can nap through a film like a pro!

doitwithlove · 03/07/2025 22:01

Love naps, when I visited my mum 30 plus years ago, she would look after my little one so I could have a few hours nap. I am 59 in two weeks

OliviaBonas · 03/07/2025 22:03

I love my sleep. Naps are and always have been the best thing ever!

BrendaSmall · 03/07/2025 22:04

I wish I could nap!
I wish I could sleep a whole night!
I’ve never had a nap and I used to be in bed at 8pm and sleep well, now I’m lucky if I’m asleep before 11pm !
when I worked nights years ago, my colleague used to have a 30 minute nap and wake up like she’d been asleep for a whole night!
i used to be one of those who if slept I sleep deep so I would wake up feeling rubbish!

StMarie4me · 03/07/2025 22:05

62 and work 52 hrs a week. No time for naps!

Devilsmommy · 03/07/2025 22:06

I try and have a nap every day. I'm 38

JollyRoseBiscuit · 03/07/2025 22:07

31 and have found a reason to nap more or less daily since being 18... dodgy work schedules, late nights out planned, having babies, older children not sleeping well during the night... im sure as im older there will be new reasons

Saponaria · 03/07/2025 22:08

How is everyone fitting their naps around work? Do you all work from home or what?

Monicaca · 03/07/2025 22:10

50 but have always loved a nap. I started napping again during lockdown when I wfh. I still nap occasionally when I wfh now, but mostly at weekends.

SirChenjins · 03/07/2025 22:11

56 - but Ive always loved a nap

itispersonal · 03/07/2025 22:12

I’m 41 and think I’ve always napped from my 20s! Work part time but most of my days off I have a nap! I definitely napped when the dd did!

I sleep enough over 8 hours most nights but always tired! Luckily my dd (now 12yo) slept through the night from 10 weeks, even our dog does 8.30-7.30!!

blood thyroids all fine! Dp 44 has started to nap in last 6 months he’s up at 4am

Firealarm1414 · 03/07/2025 22:18

I've always loved naps. When I was in secondary school we had a half day every Wednesday and I loved nothing more than coming home and getting back into bed. Still have a nap most days when I can at the ripe old age of 42. Does it mean something? I just thought i like sleeping lol

steelingmyself · 03/07/2025 22:19

35 - love a nap. Have done since high school.

I can nap anywhere if necessary - the cars a favourite if not at home. Will survive without with a well timed strong coffee but don’t enjoy it 🤣

MsNevermore · 03/07/2025 22:20

I’m 30 and I love a nap 😍

When my children were babies/toddlers (3 very close in age) I used to love putting us all in the big bed together for a lunch time nap.

DC3 is 5, starts school in mid-August, but the last few years while the older two are at school, she loves to have a post-lunch snuggle which inevitably turns into a post-lunch snooze for both of us.

waltzingparrot · 03/07/2025 22:22

Early 60s. A thirty minute power nap works wonders.
