How on earth do you keep an HRT patch on in this weather??

I am in the south of England and it's regularly on the high 20s/low 30s every day just now and I cannot get my Evorel HRT patches to stay on at all. I am going through one a day instead of 2 a week!

I am putting them on dry skin that's as cool as possible first thing in the morning but later on in the day they just peel straight off.

I am giving silicone dressing tape a go to see if that will keep it on. Fingers crossed... Any other suggestions?

Those floofy netty things for washing with are good at rubbing the residue off.

I had a patch migrate about 2.5 inches up my thigh the other day, then stayed stuck fast to the new position (but I had to move it as it was not comfy). I use micropore tape if they come off.

Sent this to the manufacturer In support of my complaint about the dratted nonstick glue they use just to let them know the hoops we have to jump through in our attempts to use their products!

Today shall henceforth be known as “Patch Monday” since I have replaced the errant patch on its allotted day and time, it was affixed to a clean and dry site on my right arm in the upper inside area.
That having been well scrubbed with washing up liquid to remove all traces of skin oil and thoroughly dried.
I then entered the freezer, aka the bedroom with A/C on full chat, reducing the ambient temperature to a teeth chattering 18 degC.
I waited until I too had achieved that temperature before applying this week’s patch.
It has currently been in situ for one hour and forty minutes and remains attached.
I have not yet subjected it and myself to the oven that is Mallorca at its finest!
I do have reservations concerning its adherence at that point.
we shall see!

Make sure skin is squeaky clean, no body lotions or oils until after they’ve been on a few minutes. Eye makeup remover gets rid of black marks.

How on earth do you get rid of the glue residue that the patches leave when removed?

Sticky stuff remover gets the residue off in seconds and safe to use on skin and hair

I have mine on the top of my leg. Always stay on fine. I’m in the south

@DirtyLilMonkey
My GP told me not to apply to the upper body, particularly arms/ chest due to the absorption near breast tissue
Should be bum/ thighs preferably as absorbed through subcutaneous fat
I have plenty down there !

Thanks @CatCollector , but sadly I’m of the other persuasion! ♂😉
These patches I’m using are filled with pain meds and despite my requests, the doc says only inner and outer arms and upper chest areas so I’m likely to return from holiday looking like a pink and brown chess board😂
Id much rather have them in “hidden” areas so as not to interfere with the tan!
Yes, even after your three score and ten, we delicate males need to pamper our tiny ego’s😁

How on earth do you get rid of the glue residue that the patches leave when removed?

I use baby oil on a make up remover pad. Apply oil to pad and dab over the residue. Wait for a few seconds then wipe off with the pad. It’s taken me two years scrubbing the glue until I found this out. It works brilliantly
