27.1 here at 10:20pm, feels like it’s about 270.1 🥵

It's 16 degrees, so that's a whole 5 degrees cooler than last night. It should make for a more comfortable night's sleep.

I want to come and live with you.
I have 27 throughout the house. 😢

It’s hot as hell because we’ve had to shut the windows because someone has left their dog to bark outside all night. And it’s a really loud, piercing bark.

I’m worried about the dog as well. I’ll do a recce in the morning in daylight from our upstairs windows and see if it needs help.

We have ac, thank God

EmeraldRoulette · 22/06/2025 01:35

26 but open the balcony door and there's hot air outside, so no need to decide re windows!

Nothankyov · 22/06/2025 01:44

18

A comfortable 82°F, which is just about 28°C, and that is after turning on the AC three hours ago. We had a heat index of over 100°F here today and are expecting the same tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday. 'Here' is northern midwest US.

25 degrees 😬 it’s now colder outside than in my house lol

EmeraldRoulette · 22/06/2025 08:41

@mathanxiety 28 with AC on? Is that normal?

Lettuceleafy · 22/06/2025 09:30

31c this morning. 🥵

Piggywaspushed · 22/06/2025 09:38

I had aircon on before bed last night. It was 32 in the house this morning. Brutal.

Many of the things that keep warm in can keep it out also - our house took ages to get to 25 with the windows covered

now cooling with the open

Yep, uninsulated ceilings in particularl are actually worse for overheating as the hot roof tiling acts like a radiator.

More to do with which way you face and size windows (and whether you can open at night then close up during the day to keep the cool in) .

Wow that's grim! Hopefully it's cooling down there soon (forecast here today is 10 degrees cooler than yesterday 🎉🎉)

Mum2jenny · 22/06/2025 09:47

20.5 in kitchen just now

LoafofSellotape · 22/06/2025 09:47

So cool compared to last night, really pleasant this morning with a strong breeze. Bliss!
