27.1 here at 10:20pm, feels like it’s about 270.1 🥵

21 downstairs so probably slightly hotter upstairs. It was over 30 degrees outside today but my house never warms up. It's bloody Baltic in the winter though.

Scrowy · 20/06/2025 22:38

21⁰c upstairs and about 19⁰c downstairs

Walked in the house before and commented about how it felt chilly compared to outside.

Old house - 3ft deep stone walls and tiny mullion windows. Keeps the heat inside in the endless winters and keeps the heat out in the brief wonderful summers.

Sat outside tonight with a glass of wine listening to our neighbours all silaging (we are weeks away yet), a zillion insects buzzing, swallows dive bombing the wet patch i made for them in the garden and a curlew somewhere nearby singing its heart out. Actual bliss.

I'll take a few uncomfortable hot nights a year for the bounty it brings to the countryside.

PickAChew · 20/06/2025 22:38

25-27 - after cooling down a bit. Dormer bungalow and upstairs gets hotter than hades in this weather. I'm sitting in the garden which is a breezy 24.

I'm not totally sure because my thermometer burst into flames but I think it may be within 5 degrees of the surface temperature of Venus.

Or possibly an erupting volcano.

I would have said the sun but I don't want to be accused of exaggerating.

I don’t know but it’s seriously hot. This is a eco house (about 10 years old) built to keep the heat in. It’s great in the winter but it cooks us in the summer. We make it worse by having indoor cats so that we can’t throw the doors and windows open. The basement is tolerable and I have one of those air con units that looks like a fridge and (sounds like a helicopter) in our bedroom. I have learned to relish the noise

Greenalien1 · 20/06/2025 22:40

28.5 just down from 29. On the first floor with no shade and direct sunlight coming into all rooms of the house (I do shut my vlinds) but got a lovely breeze coming into the window in bed so I don't feel uncomfortable. I do as soon as I get up or do any activity.

tobee · 20/06/2025 22:40

25.5

Our house takes a while to get hot inside. But then when the temperature finally drops outside it stays (too) hot inside the house for 2/3 days more. 😩

Netcam · 20/06/2025 22:40

Bedroom 26.5 and the window's been open all evening. Not sure how well we'll sleep.

Ollybob · 20/06/2025 22:41

29 lounge and 28 bedroom, 2nd floor flat so heat rises and bugger all I can do!

PrincessofHyrule · 20/06/2025 22:41

23 downstairs, 24 upstairs. Curtains blowing in breeze so I'm hopeful it'll come down further.

Thoughts and prayers with those suffering over 27 in their bedrooms. Hope you get some sleep.

Lettuceleafy · 20/06/2025 22:42

My bedroom is 28c. I have two fans the windows open and the door open. It’s too hot to sleep.

Azandme · 20/06/2025 22:42
  1. Got the aircon on.
PuppiesProzacProsecco · 20/06/2025 22:43

Bloody fucking scorchio.

Crazyladee · 20/06/2025 22:45

Nice and fridge cool here in the bedroom. We have a west facing bedroom so we invested in an air con unit a few years ago as we were sick of sweltering in the summer. It's the best purchase I've ever made especially this week.

BirdyBedtime · 20/06/2025 22:46

25 in the the kitchen with the back door open and at least a few degrees warmer upstairs. It reached 28 earlier when it was over 30 outside. Just a nice prep for holidays although raining and 19 here on Sunday

elrider · 20/06/2025 22:46

21 downstairs, 29 upstairs.

KIlliePieMyOhMy · 20/06/2025 22:46

Just getting dark here. Windows and doors open 21. Hotter upstairs.

feelingbleh · 20/06/2025 22:46

30.8 in bedroom according to alexa

Jewelanemone · 20/06/2025 22:47

Just gone to bed, fan on full blast. I'm clammy and sweaty, what an attractive bedfellow I must make. We were in Crete last week, it wasn't much hotter than this! I hate the way my face feels after I've applied serum etc.

Cold wet flannel on feet is my failsafe when it's this warm

uncomfortablydumb60 · 20/06/2025 22:48

24.9.. with my pedestal fan on full power
West Wiltshire

HeddaGarbled · 20/06/2025 22:50

I don’t have a thermometer but it’s OK: warm but not unbearable. We’re East coast and we’ve had a nice breeze so I think we’ve had a pleasant day compared to a lot of you.

TheCurious0range · 20/06/2025 22:51

24 but feels comfortable not stuffy. Some benefits to living in an old house with high ceilings that's impossible to keep warm!

Diversion · 20/06/2025 22:52

Amost 11pm, its 22.5C with 64 % humidity in the dining room. Windows are open and the fan is running at full speed. Still too warm and humid for me and I am dreading going to bed which is likely to be much warmer.
