It's Friday night - what's everyone doing ?

I'm at home with DH. Not sure if I fancy a drink or not as I'm trying to lose weight. Dh has poured a drink for himself. We're booking some flights tonight for a weekend getaway with friends later in the year. DC will be doing own thing. I've got some washing to sort.

Long gone are the messy Friday nights out. I cba with that anymore. Prefer quieter sofa nights with DH. I occasionally long for a mad Friday night out but it's more fomo. I go out for an hour, the pub is too busy/noisy/crowded/ full of idiots and Im ready to go home

DH and I walked to the chippy and have just had our fish & chips watching the news - going to make a cup of tea and maybe have a cool shower later before bed!

Lovely meal out with friends.

I'm going home in a sec and will watch A Beautiful Mind on prime, cup of tea, pastries and fruit.

I'm having a wine i babysat my friends Gc today she's 3 between her and my dog I'm knackered I'm seriously considering my bed😅

Home alone, I’ve just had a salad for dinner sitting in the garden, watered the borders and put everything away that needs to stay dry as we’re forecast rain/thunderstorms.

Not sure what I’ll do next tbh. Read, find something to watch, I quite fancy a glass of 🍾 , I’ve been dieting and rarely drink anyway so I’m not sure where that’s come from.

Nothing much! Dh is away, not coming home until late. Teen ds is revising. Dd ishome from uni for the summer tomorrow. I'm deciding whether I can be arsed to fo a bit of housework or whether to take the opportunity to slump in front of a film of my choosing, without having to negotiate with anyone else's preferences!

Having just disembarked the Eurostar my great friend & I are heading back to her house in London. It was 35c in Brussels today & even though it was a wonderful week & I wish I was still there I’m looking forward to a long cooling freshening bath. And a squashed chocolate croissant which is currently somewhere in my bag!

I'm catching up on all my tv shows while DH is away

At home on my own tonight. Poured a rum and Coke and waiting for the storm to arrive a bit apprehensive because we have a leak in the roof of our conservatory 😭Towels and a bucket ready ! Shall cook some food later .

Have had a mad day at work, crazy busy and hot!!
so tonight I’ve sat in the garden and read, picked dp up from the pub and cooked an easy dinner.
now sitting on the sofa with a breeze coming into the lounge, cuppa and an episode of location location location!

I am recovering from a long work week and also a lot of chatting to adult DS who has started some therapy for anxiety . It’s tiring being someone’s rock !

I wfh on a Friday, I logged off at 5:30 and went straight out to take DD to her tennis lesson, then came home and cooked pasta for dinner. I’m having a few minutes to myself before I clean the kitchen and start washing the week’s school uniforms. DH would normally help more but the poor sod’s broken his ankle. It’s been nuts at work this week too, so I will probably have a glass of wine later.

Reading a book and browsing MN from my sofa trying to get used to the ‘new normal’. My DD seems to have decided she will spend every evening holed up in her room chatting to her friends, it feels very weird and like I have loads of spare time, may need to actually start going to the gym in the evenings now I no longer have a ready excuse not to 😂

DH working. Just put DC to bed so am in bath with a choccy Horlicks. Looking forward to sleeping on my new Tempur pillow tonight after a few nights of not great sleep and old pillow causing head / neck / back stiffness / ache. There’s alot going on for us at the moment so the pilllow was my treat to myself - I love and need my sleep!

Went to the pub at 4 (after seeing my counsellor), sat in their garden with a pint on the much coveted sofa. Came home, dd cooked dinner, we're now watching ER, and then I'm going to sit in the garden and read my book.

I am just about to dye my eyebrows whilst DD does a practice university admissions test.

Just back from an evening cycle with dh...we took a couple of ciders along and sat at a viewpoint to enjoy them. Now eating haggis on toast, it's delicious.

Lying flat on my back on my bed with a trapped nerve. It's been hurting since Wednesday. Yesterday was very painful, today has been better.

I have to be ok for Sunday, I'm running Race for Life. It's all so frustrating. 🙁

Made steak and chips for dinner, took my children to the park and now we are watching the Minecraft movie. Friday night is film night 🥰

Had a mad work day so went to sit on our 5th floor balcony in the sun at 5pm. Been trying to organise drinks with friends and dd's post graduate life - she had her last exam yesterday and is then off interrailing for a month come Wednesday. Trying to check she has all done necessary applications/ has all paperwork in place etc for next year,. Hadf chilli chicken for dinner.

In-between watching my husband on the monitor still attempting to put our youngest to bed (who usually only wants me) and also half watching The Office (US) on Netflix whilst I enjoy my weekend glass of wine.

I’m having a lovely quiet evening on the sofa watching TV. Heaven!

Currently waiting for my princess of a dwarf hamster to make her evening appearance. This will be my cue to pick her up and hold her and stroke her head for 10 mins (while she sits there with her eyes closed loving it). I then hand feed her pine nuts (they MUST be hand fed as she’s too much of a princess to pick up nuts herself) and she retires to her favourite house to munch on tenderstem broccoli and stare over at me.

Hardly a rock & roll lifestyle but good for the soul!
