Travelling France in an EV

Planning a trip to France this year. Not sure of the exact destination just yet but it will be a Eurocamp. Probably at least 12 hours driving from home to arriving (likely to do the drive over several days). We may also go to Belgium for a bit.

Has anyone taken an EV over to France and can tell me what the infrastructure is like for chargers?

One stop will be in Paris at a hotel with chargers so that's fine. I'm thinking more about what the service stops are like over there, if there's many of them and if they are likely to have rapid chargers?

I've also got another thread running about taking ddog with us off anyone has any tips for that https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/the_doghouse/5353662-taking-dog-to-france

Many thanks

So a vet appointment over there while on holiday 😮

I think so. I'm still trying to find more info. I best start brushing up on my French!

finding a charger was no issue - the car display showed ones nearby.
some are in weird locations, like car show room forecourts or behind a local business.
a memorable one was on a private airstrip...

Thank you everyone. It's very reassuring

Yes I do use Google maps so I'll look at switching the ev charger setting on.

Also remembered my car shows chargers nearby as we drive along. I'm. Just so used to ignoring it because I tend to be using Google maps for navigation and already know where the chargers are for the places I drive

And to be honest most of the time I can just charge at home or work and not worry about public charging

I'm sure I read the worming tablets have to be given by a vet but you can take your own - not sure if that's all vets or just people's experience on whatever discussion post I ended up on !
