When I was a kid,I did like figrolls but tended to dismiss them as a “ healthy biscuit” along with digestives,Rich Tea, arrowroot etc. I love them as an adult ( if you get the right brands). So satisfying to eat & solid enough for a great dunk in your cuppa! Keep you regular too 🤣 Any figroll fans out there?

Loved a fig roll and a Garibaldi and I haven’t had them since the 70s at my Gran’s house.. Fig rolls are even better when a bit stale as they actually go softer.

i have never tried a fig roll. Perhaps I am missing out.

They remind me of my grand who also had Lincoln biscuits. Haven’t seen those for years. Oh and those sports malted biscuits. Do they still make them?

I love fig rolls. They were one of my mothers regular buys to go in the biscuit tin. Unfortunately, once in the tin they suffered the same fate as jaffa cakes - the moisture absorber thingy in the lid dried the hell out of them so I could only eat them on day one. No such problem in my house, I am a heathen - unlike my mother I have no biscuit tin and fig biscuits and jaffa cakes are eaten straight from the packet. However I do admit that like my mother's biscuits/cakes not many survive to be eaten after day one.

There aren’t any wasps in the figs we eat in the UK. Not even really in the ones that are fertilised that way as they dissolve and just become fig!
Anyway. You are right. They are great. Proper nibbling biscuit. I am too fat to eat biscuits though so save myself for a soft amaretti 😋

My DD16 loves them. She called them forward rolls when she was little.
