I have this week off work as I work in a school. My plan today is to give the house a good clean, list some things on Vinted I’ve been meaning to get round to and try and keep DD entertained.
DP is working today, the weathers a bit rubbish so might have a movie afternoon with DD.
What about all of you?

Same!! Can’t wait ❤️🏆

BethDuttonYeHaw · 26/05/2025 10:51

Kids are at school.

We’ve both got the day off and are packing to go on holiday tomorrow.

itsgettingweird · 26/05/2025 10:55

DS has been swim training and I went to the gym.

He’s working from home for a few hours now so he can have a shorter day tomorrow (also WFH!)

Ive been to Aldi for some bits and making chicken wraps for lunch.

Hopefully going to start my book today.

Also off as work in a school - shame the weather never got the memo!!!!

Dogs been out, pastries baked for breakfast, 3rd load of washing in, ordered the minecraft movie to watch this afternoon with snacks and will be making a fakeaway kfc for dinner that's about it.

champagneplanet · 26/05/2025 11:22

Have been away with DH and DCs since Friday, got home late last night which meant we beat the expected traffic and had a nice lie in and woke up in our own beds.

There is a significant event happening in our city today which DH wants to attend with BIL as we are home early. I am going to unpack and start on the laundry, walk DDog and then am meeting some of my friends for dinner this evening. Will be designated driver as I have work tomorrow.

Packing for holiday tomorrow and cleaning the house for the burglars.

FknOmniShambles · 26/05/2025 11:30

We've been round a car boot sale - stocked up on Unstoppables! So got my 10k steps in before 9am which was nice. Then came home to install new dishwasher and it's going slowly. Currently sitting in carpark of the hardware store while (second visit of the day) while DH hopefully gets the bit we are missing 😂

shellyleppard · 26/05/2025 11:31

Sorting through my sons coats and shoes ready for charity shop run. Or sitting in the garden with a cuppa listening to the birds

justkeepswimingswiming · 26/05/2025 11:35

Recovering from a sick bug. The joys!

CharlotteStreetW1 · 26/05/2025 11:43

Cleaned over the weekend as had family over. Just finishing a bacon sarnie and tea and will sort out some more washing, then I'm going to batch cook some chilli and bolognese sauce for the freezer. If I can be bothered, I need to think about what to take on holiday next month.

DH is eyeing up some gardening depending on weather.

Back to work tomorrow.

devildeepbluesea · 26/05/2025 11:48

Got home at 10am from a lovely weekend away. I’ve unpacked, cooked sausage butties for DD, me and our 2 friends who came with us and now just waiting for their lift to arrive.
Then DD and I will watch the final episode of Line of Duty S2, and afterwards I’ll take her to her dad’s and give the dog a run. Then home and straight into PJs for a bit of a Grace binge. Tea will be leftover cheese, meats and nibbles we brought back with us.

00deed1988 · 26/05/2025 11:54

Finished a night shift at 07:30. Had a couple of hours sleep and now on train to Wembley to watch AFC Wimbledon in the play off finals....could do with still being in bed! Definitely an early night tonight!

dudsville · 26/05/2025 12:32

I have 8 pairs of wool socks that I've shrunk, so today I've started reshaping them!

I'm on day 4 of my own little 30 day health challenge and am feeling pretty good.

LurcherMumma · 26/05/2025 12:35

Working and not very hard because it's quiet.
Also banked a lovely extra holiday day I can take when no one else is off!*

  • Apart from I'll almost certainly end up needing it when DC is sick.
48wheaties · 26/05/2025 13:05

Just finished some gardening before dodging a rain shower. About to take teen DD to meet my friends adorable new puppies. Will try not to buy one!

BCBird · 26/05/2025 13:08

Dog sitting, reading and doing some lessons prep- so do not want to.do that. Might look for a countdown on radio to help ease the pain😆

TimeForABreak4 · 26/05/2025 13:14

My middle child had her last exam this morning she's now home and showered and chilling. Cars away for its mot, youngest has not long woken up. Got food shop being delivered between 1.30 and 3.30 then going to go to cinema with ds and dd if she wants to come and will just grab a pizza on the way home. Been quite a chilled day so far.

PopTheKettleOnx · 26/05/2025 13:18

After a busy weekend and knowing the rest of the week is full of plans for the kids, we've had a very chilled day. Walk down to the shops, baked a brownie with the kids, watched a film and now their doing their own things independently - youngest playing, oldest is making a Spotify playlist apparently and I'm having a little sit down with a hot cuppa tea.

Rest of the day I'm decorating one of the rooms in the house and tackling the washing pile.

Cravey · 26/05/2025 13:36

Unpacking cases after a week in turkey, took our grandchildren for a first abroad holiday, we are skint and shattered but my goodness we had a wonderful week. Weather here ( south west wales ) is flipping awful.

RabbitsRock · 26/05/2025 13:50

Afternoon all - waiting for the out of hours doctor to phone me as I’m being driven demented by intense burning/itching under my dressings. This coupled with post surgical pain is making me feel a bit lightheaded & queasy. We were up late & didn’t really get organised til gone 11. DF called with flowers & chocolates but had to put them in the outside dustbin as we didn’t hear the door. Quite nice weather although we have had a few showers. Should really go for a stroll as I don’t want to stiffen up. Haven’t seen much of DD16 yet. She emerged earlier to heat up a tin of soup. I think I’ll have a leftover ribeye steak sandwich in a bit. Wish we had some sourdough. Pizzas for tea although I missed them off the Tesco delivery last night. DH can nip out later. Planned to watch Paddington in Peru last night but it got too late so we’ll put it on this afternoon & see if DD fancies it too. Still ploughing through endless loads of washing. At the moment there’s a lovely dress of DD’s on the delicate setting - she’d got it for a festival or concert if I remember but didn’t wear it. She came down in it the other evening & looked absolutely beautiful, like an ethereal woodland nymph. Very different to her usual style! The bunnies are in, causing mayhem. I love when they’re hopping around the kitchen. They would be house rabbits if they could ❤️🐰
