I have nothing against it but a lot of people are coming forth with awful side effects some wish they never started.
But the look of some of the users it as aged then dearly.

'Ozempic face' is just the face of someone who has lost too much weight too quickly, often starting from a fairly healthy weight.
If WLI aren't for you then that's fine, just don't use them. There really is no need to scaremonger though, those of us using them have considered the risks and decided they are worth it for the improved health that weight loss is more likely to bring.

StrikeForever · 16/05/2025 22:52

The ‘side effect’ here is simply dramatic weight loss on an older face! 🙄

Ozempic face isn’t a real thing. It happens to some people who lose large amounts of weight. If you’re fat your skin is obviously going to sag a little when you lose the weight. Sharon’s face is different due to the multiple face surgerys she’s had. Her original face is 12 faces ago. You get side effects with any drugs, people who are serious abut weight loss jabs know this.

heroinechic · 16/05/2025 22:54

Who are you, the daily mail? 😂

sparrowflewdown · 16/05/2025 22:58

She is 72! She looks fine. Goodness me.

😆 well it’s true. You can see from the photos of when she was younger. I think shes been pretty open about it in the past. I remember her saying she ballooned to like 20 odd stone years ago pre X factor days and she had a bunch of surgeries. Same goes for the daughter as well.

Imnutty · 16/05/2025 23:16

My neighbour is on ozempic and its aged her 10 years.

CyanMaker · 07/08/2025 01:07

Give her a break. She just lost her husband. She looks sad as should be expected.

CyanDreamer · 07/08/2025 01:15

Leave that poor Sharon alone.

But fast weight loss without toning up is not a very attractive sight on many people. Young people can just about get away with it, but it's not just the face the problem, the whole body is showing the strain.

It's well known that you often need surgery after weight loss from extreme obesity, but many people on weight loss jabs are not far behind.

SnowFrogJelly · 07/08/2025 01:27

She just lost her husband..
harsh

"An older woman must choose between her face and her dress size" or, as we like to say in my family, "Fat don't crack". My sister's on WLIs now, though, so I'm mildly interested to see how her unfeasibly youthful face will hold up.

I should think the PP mentioning Sharon's 12 faces has a point. Once your skin's been repositioned, cut and tucked multiple times, there's no saying how it's going to look with less cushioning.

Loads of women in the public eye have had that buccal fat removal, which is going to leave them pretty hollow-faced after weight loss.

Genuine question - can’t people be prescribed a less effective dosage, so instead of losing (I am totally making up numbers here) 5lbs a week they only lose 2 and a half lbs a week?

(I know nothing about weight loss jabs/operations so it’s possible there is a very obvious answer, but I do not know that)

So just stay fat and unhealthy, is your advice then!

This thread's about weight loss and facial appearance. Nobody's speculated on the amount of visceral fat Sharon Osbourne may have been carrying. FWIW, I very much doubt my sister was obese when she started her 'weight loss journey'. Just unfashionably rounded.

Totally agree, speaking as someone who has Mounjaro neck (not from losing too fast so much as being past the age where a double chin can spring back)… small price to pay for being lighter than I’ve been since my twenties. Weight loss has always come with the risk of side effects.

LOLOL82 · 07/08/2025 01:59

Ridiculous. Doesn’t exist. Your body doesn’t know what you used to lose weight to give you a certain face 🙄

Justchilling07 · 07/08/2025 03:00

@GarlicLitre so why say an older woman must choose between her face and her dress size and fat don’t crack, that’s judgement, unnecessary.

cheesycheesy · 07/08/2025 03:02

She’s in her 70s and has lost too much weight. Plus massive lips and other surgery. That’s why her family all look the same and weird. Jack looks really well though. I assume he’s had the jabs too but hasn’t lost too much

Glitchymn1 · 07/08/2025 03:20

A friend is taking it and has lost a few stone and says her skin is now sagging, not just on her face but her body too.

They're quotes of common sayings, ffs. That's why they're in quotation marks.

Justchilling07 · 07/08/2025 07:27

@GarlicLitre you’re using them to get your point across🙄 you’ve already said you use these terms with your family.
