Bra solutions for young women with a fuller bust ??

I'm helping DD (older teenager) find a dress and we need bra/boob tape/other magic underwear solutions for someone with a larger bust so she might be able to wear a dress that looks more suited to her age than my age!

I have the wonderbra strapless one. It's the best i've had but does fall down easily so i tend to go braless.

I have big boobs/small frame and actually anne summers balcony bras fit SO comfily.

The wonder bra strapless bras are amazing!! I’m a 36GG cup and they hold mine up really well and are comfortable!

butteredradish1 · 16/05/2025 19:44

Bravissimo are a pain in the ass as well. I have really big boobs and have outgrown their sizes and they still refuse to listen to me.

Boux Avenue do lovely bras with small back and large cup measurements. My dd is about a 28G/30FF and buys her bras from
there. She says the designs are ‘younger’ than bravissimo.

Go anywhere but M&S they have no clue how to for for a bra.

I have had only great experience there so it must differ store to store. Maybe you can recommend other stores to OP?

I was a larger chested teen. My go to bras were Freya, Fantasie and now Elomi. Great styles, shape and patterns for younger women.

Do not go to M&S if you want a properly fitted bra!! Go to a Bravissimo or an independent lingerie shop.

What an odd comment.

Go to marks and Spencer and get her fitted. Explain what you’re looking for (strapless) and show them the style of dress, and they will have something that suits.

Absolutely don’t do this. M and S are notorious for abysmal bra fitting. Told me I was a 36c in y early 20s when I was actually a 30 e. Years of ill fitting bra misery. Rigby and Peller or Bravissimo.

Seeline · 17/05/2025 07:53

My DD likes Freya, Boux Avenue, and Bravissimo (28F)

Make sure she is correctly measured - you can/she can do it at home using something like the Boob or Bust calculator.

I like ordering online so you can try on at home. Have a look at the Brastop site - they give decent discounts on the larger cup sizes.

Branleuse · 17/05/2025 11:23

Asos have a fuller bust range thats quite youthful. Also look at curvy kate and freya.

I’ve got one of these: https://wonderbra.co.uk/wonderbra-ultimate-strapless-bra
It goes up to a G cup.

I have had my one of these for years and it’s great!

I’m always surprised by the love of bravissimo on here. The Bath store was totally unhelpful and my local M&S was fab. She did the fit by sight. Depending on style I’m a 32E/34DD. My best bra fitting was an older lady in John Lewis in Exeter, but that was a few years ago.

With my own DDs I read up on bra fitting and I’ve done if for them.

Branleuse · 17/05/2025 11:24

What do you mean by that?

They’re probably imagining huge boobs and not realising with the back size they won’t actually be that big

servingkant · 17/05/2025 11:33

I presume @Bechange997‘s comment was about the PP’s daughter’s bra size being G/FF. Unfortunately there’s still a misconception that a D cup is a huge ‘fuller bust’ and anything over is the size of a gargantuan wooly mammoth.

TheBewleySisters · 17/05/2025 11:36

I was busty all my life, with a small back size, so 32 around but full bust at the front. Being properly measured- at Bravissimo - changed my life. After lots of trial and error, guess work etc re size, I finally understood where I had been going wrong. So I’d say her first step is to be properly measured.

Whyherewego · 17/05/2025 11:40

I'd echo Bravissimo. M&S are useless.
I would recommend balcony style bras they are quite flattering for younger figures and I think also getting a fun vibrant colour means that visible bra straps may not be such an issue for her. A specialist strapless could also work, boob tape etc literally does not do the job if you're over an E cup IMHO. So I'd steer away from that,

Sassybooklover · 17/05/2025 11:47

I would go to Bravissimo, Pour Moi, Fantasies ranges. Boux Avenue too, offer a good choice. I have always been big busted, it's in the genes on both sides of the family, so there was no chance for me!! My advice would be for your daughter to make sure she wears a bra. It may not be popular with some youngsters, but when she's my age (50) and her boobs haven't hit her knees, and she's still perky, she'll be grateful!! Yes, it's a nuisance wearing a bra, and finding solutions to wearing certain clothing, that smaller busted women don't have.

bellsbuss · 17/05/2025 11:50

I’m a 28FF and I buy the XXL stick on rabbit ears to wear with clothes that you can’t wear a bra with. They work really well.

LuubyLuu · 17/05/2025 12:10

Once you’re sure of her size I really recommend M&S for having the biggest range of non-matronly bras for larger cup sizes, lots of colours and designs and also well priced. They also have good strapless / multi-way bras.

You do have to be careful with their own brands as they often miss out double -letter cups so if eg they miss out a FF, then a G cup will actually be the FF cup. Can make a big difference at the higher end!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 17/05/2025 13:23

I third Bravussimo, in store if possible, or they do a phone service.

Don't touch m&s with a barge pole .
