For me the itchy skin, so intense it almost felt like my skin was crawling/burning, it was reducing me to tears, thankfully I've found magnesium has helped

Interesting that nobody has mentioned palpitations. Is it that they come far down the list or should I really see a Dr?

I had these but they tested my blood and found I was very low in ferritin (level of 10 - I presume due to the heavy periods and flooding). So I’ve put them down to this, as they can be a symptom of that too. My level is still only 23 after a few months of prescribed supplements, but they reckon this is ok and have taken me off them (it’s not from what I’ve read).

I get palpitations and weird electrical sensations in my neck/collarbone. Have been checked out and nobody seemed too worried about it. Only read recently that it could be a peri thing.

In terms of the most distressing symptoms, on its own I don’t mind mind it, its only the fear that I could be having a heart attack that actually bothers me, so I wouldn’t put it high on my list, as annoying as it is.

I had them for a bit recently but it was very linked to anxiety/panic symptoms, which I'm pretty sure are also a perimenopausal thing as I've never had anything like that until now.

As in, moisturisers etc? I was originally prescribed the oestrogen cream which seemed to help, but it disappeared off my prescription and now I have a stock of pessaries which I'm supposed to use twice a week - I'm trying to use them 4-5 times a week though.

I do have some moisturising gel, but it doesn't help a great deal.

Just curious, does anyone else get terrible cramps after an orgasm? I haven't had a period for 15 years (mirena coil) but the post-orgasmic cramps are real...

Estradiol gel I mean. I get it on prescription.

Oh I see! No, hadn't heard of that - thanks, I'll mention it!

The very first time I was prescribed HRT, the GP said "I'll prescribe you the gel to try."

I said OK, great, so...is that something that you insert with an applicator?

She paused then said, "Well no, you rub it on your arm..."

🤦‍♀️

@WalterMittysPuppet I'm on evorel conti and blissel gel. Definitely mention it. They'd probably prescribe if you do an econsult.
