Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot. Dd2's been down already to feed the kittens and make herself some toast. The three of them have gone off back upstairs - presumably back to bed.

Dd's off out for a Tesco meal deal picnic with one of her best friends later on. They do it every couple of weeks, so long as the weather's not awful.

I'm off to the market for some fresh fruit and salad & Dd1's coming with me (I did ask dd2 but she wanted to meet her friend!). Since the weather's nice, I think we might have a steady walk into town, and stop off for a drink somewhere we can sit outside 🍸.

Depending what time we get in, I might do some crafting of some sort for a couple of hours. I have A Squash and A Squeeze peg dolls on the go, for a display at work, and a crochet project I need to work out what size to make by measuring myself, so probably one of those.

Then it's leftover Chinese for tea & maybe an hour in the garden with my book after a shower.

What about all of you? 🌞

I haven't tried the recipe[e yet and couldn't get radicchio, so I've bought Chinese leaf instead.

@lucysmam well it wasn't bleached at all and is quite a dark grey rather than an attractive silvery grey, but yes it definitely had a purplish hue. I've stopped using it now but it was noticeable. The best think about it was that being a regular tinted shampoo ai could just use it all the time, whereas a specialist colour like pink has to be bought as a one-off thing I think... but I may be wrong? You should be able to buy all different colours that you can use all the time. If nobody's thought of that then they should!

I haven't mentioned the painting at all since Mr Dilemma came downstairs for lunch. Needless to say it hasn't been done and will now have to be done tomorrow so that we don't risk getting paint on the new carpet.

I am, at present, sitting on our shady patio listening to the wind in the trees and smelling some of the wonderful scented plants I have around me. Our garden is very steep so my view is mostly of a brick wall, but also of plants. Here is a photo

Following on from my photo of my view from my chair on my patio - looking left I can see my wisteria on my top terrace. We only planted it last year and most things flower late in our garden, but I think it's going to be spectacular!

I finished off the cake I was making for my friends son this morning and then she collected it. Dd and her boyfriend wanted to go swimming in the next town so gave them a lift and wandered around there charity shopping and visiting the local
museum to pass the time.
been reading and drinking a beer in the garden for the last hour or so. Will think about dinner shortly.
I have a 10k race tomorrow so today is my no exercise rest day. Hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday.

We’re having a quiet day at home in the sunshine today. DD is tired out after nursery yesterday. We spent the morning in the garden, playing with the sprinkler, hula hoop (or hoop a loop as DD calls it) and her trike. Mid morning she conked out on the living room floor and slept for two hours, during which I led in the sun, had some time to myself and snoozed. Then a lunch consisting mostly of cheese and grapes, more playtime outside, and once she got too hot, inside for an afternoon film.

DH went to the shops for wine and ice creams so now DD’s watching Ratatouille while I sit outside with a glass of white wine. I’ve got to get up in a minute to go and make dinner. I really don’t want to though. I’m comfy and enjoying listening to the tractors in the field.

Tonight we’re going to watch a film with popcorn and then to bed earlyish because we’re off
to the zoo tomorrow!

Your day sounds lovely @lucysmam

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie If you get a spare moment could you report back on the drunken noodles please? That recipe looks fantastic but I’m wondering how hot it is…

I've given up on the idea of cooking today. I can't work out why, but I've been absolutely exhausted for a few days. We had our walk and picnic and then I've just been drooping since a week old tulip since we got back. I'm going those yoghurt, granola and fruit for tea instead.

Will make it tomorrow and try to remember to report back!

You could always start with less chilli and then add more.

Slow start, husband went to health studio and wasn’t fussed about doing anything when he got back. I was full of energy so took myself off for a 5 mile walk, incorporated beach, bit of housing, old railway track, bit more housing. Stopped off at garden centre and despite saying “ only coffee, no
Plants!” bought a beautiful Aquilega as it was £3.99, I only had £5.00 on me! Walked home via canal… sunned myself for rest of afternoon and did jacket potatoes and salad for dinner. Floating in a bath now, not super exciting but very pleasant in this lovely weather, oh and listened uninterrupted to a podcast whilst walking…

@Peridot1and @lucysmam - thank you!

Looking forward to tomorrow's 'wotcha up to' post from @lucysmam in the kitchen corner with coffee! Posting ahead of time, I will have been woken up at 5am, just because. Then that will wake doggo up. Doggo will then be in and out of the dog flap until approximately 6.45am when both my patience and my bladder give up.

Bladder will win first. Doggo will do impressive zoomies for an old lady whilst waiting for the loo to flush. More zoomies will take place whilst I wrestle with dog's breakfast.

By now, it will be about 7am. I'll sneak back to bed to read the news, play waffle, scroll MN and pretend to be asleep when dog reappears.

I'll still have my phone on silent until about 10am. I do need a bit of peace! My poor friends. I don't know how to help them, I just want to smoosh everyone up in a big hug.

Oh btw, @lucysmamI've loved your weekend updates for such a long time. I had to change my username because someone recognised me, but I asked about your peg people and I used to wear a metallic hat!
