Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

Firstly, sorry if this thread's too wholesome for some of you! I didn't realise discussing perfectly normal weekend plans might offend anyone 🤷‍♀️

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. I've been snoozing since the cats started climbing about in my bedroom at 6:30...no way was I getting up then!

The washer's on, pots are washed and I've tidied round a bit. Probably won't do much else today in the vein of housework.

Dd1 needs to be up shortly to get ready for work, especially if she wants to walk from town like she said last night. Dd2 planned to get all of her homework out of the way last night and today, and do her weekly room tidy today, so she has a full 2 days to chill and do as she pleases.

I'm off for a wander to Lidl shortly-ish for a bottle of something to take to my friends house to drink. The three of us are meeting there for a catch up & try to plan an overnight somewhere over the upcoming half term. Although, thinking about it, we could always jump on a train on a Friday once we all finish work!

I also need to book trains and hotel for myself and the girls for an overnight stay in Manchester for another Inhaler gig at the beginning of half term 🎶.

Dd2 and their dad will probably have takeaway for tea, dd1 will have something at work - usually something from the Owners menu 😋, and I'm not sure what we're eating. My friend will probably cook something as she's not terribly adventurous with her food choices, so we'll all contribute to that.

I'll be home for a cuppa and bed by 10:30 at the latest <rock'n'roll> 🤣.

What about all of you? 🙂

We had a viewing on our house this morning so I was up early to make sure everything was just so. Whilst we were preparing my husband got a call from a friend with a plumbing emergency so he had to go help out.

During the viewing I took the kids for their first ever McDonald’s breakfast. We ate it whilst taking the dog for a walk in some lovely countryside.

This afternoon I’m taking one of my children to a friend’s pony party and I have to make a cake for my dad’s birthday. A busy Saturday but a nice one.

Who's been complaining?! Let me at 'em!

I've just finished clearing up after cooking breakfast for most of my in-laws (ten of them) as the long distance branch were in town for MIL's birthday and we hardly ever all get together.

The dishwasher is humming away. I've just painted my nails and am about to go in the garden to read my book for a while with the cup of tea DH has just made.

We're going to the local Thai with friends tonight which will be lovely.

Enjoy the long weekend everyone 😊

We have been to tap this morning with dd2. I came home and mowed grass and done some washing. Had a sit outside reading a book for a bit. Taking eldest DD to hairdressers in a min. Then youngest has a friend staying over so will probably retreat upstairs after dinner and watch some netflix.

PS i find these threads very comforting!

Well, I've booked the hotel & train to Manchester for half term. Washer's just finished its second load so I'll move and put that out in a mo. Then off to get dressed and mooch to Lidl.

Any recommendations for things to do/see in Manchester? We're not coming home until the 4pm ish train so all day to do something or explore.

Do the 4 of you ever go out as a family and do something nice?

AutisticMama · 03/05/2025 15:58

I’ve been watching tv and tidying/sorting out my 3 year olds toys (he’s upstairs with his dad) and we’re going to go to ASDA and get McDonald’s soon.

We’re going to go swimming tomorrow and probably the park too 😊

Then on Monday we’re going on a play date/day out to family train/railway day thing 😁

Well it isn’t morning anymore!

This morning we had swimming lessons, dog walkies and then we went to the cinema to see the minecraft film, it was awful, but a certain small person enjoyed it, we’ve just finished Dr Who and the kids are off to bed.

If you want somewhere for food @lucysmam Bundobust is nice, unlike the majority of Indian places the food actually is Indian food.
