What do people have instead of sky?

Just that really.

Have had sky for years and years, don't watch it and have wanted to get rid of it for ages... but, what do people have instead?

I just want to be able to stream stuff and occasionally record things.

Smart tv (well, not very as it is 2014 & apps keep dropping off the support) with Freeview & Freesat tuners - so have the old sky dish feed running into it as get better reception than the aerial.

Have a Firestick for the apps that the TV no longer supports.

Did have Netflix but cancelled a couple of years ago.
Currently have a free Disney+ subscription but won't be continuing.
DP did have Prime, but he cancelled that at least a year ago.

A lot of people I know have illegal firesticks with full sky package on it for not a lot per year..maybe £60

Also just subscribed to TennisTV as it’s the only sport I really care about watching live; suspect I will be suckered into paying extra for significant matches at the slams.

Humax for about 15 years but daughter gave us a Chromecast which we mainly use and son in law put his extra Prime on for when they stay tho I rarely use it. I watch a lot less TV than I used to, I am a bit tempted by Apple TV but waiting until I'm in a box set mood. There is so much now available that it could be some time.
