We moved ten years ago into a bungalow with loft conversion so only have a couple of storage areas.

I know exactly what's in each: Far too many coats owned by DH!, spare quilts and pillow s(area has carpet and is plastered/painted so a decent place to store these), Xmas decs and some old magazines (DH). On other side, my wedding dress, some of my husband's old photos, an old spare fish tank (just in case - again a DH thing), suitcases and cat carriers.

The better baby and toddler stuff we're keeping for grandkids or great nephews/neices, whichever comes first. Suitcases for holidays. Xmas decorations. A few pairs of shoes older DS has grown out of and younger DS isn't ready for yet. A couple of old laptops DH won't let me recycle.

@VictorianScreenTime lots of traps with peanut butter up there. And we went round the walls cementing gaps by pipes and it’s been better!

Two boxes of 100 year old encyclopaedia magazines in perfect condition, lots of old Motor Cycle gear, gloves helmets etc, my heating boiler, a tin of Raid Fly Spray, some empty boxes.

An enormous drawstring bag (approx 1mx1m) full of neglected Beanie Babies. Four of which are very well worn as they were the most loved. Some Sylvanian families/houses. Board games. Ker Plunk. Child's easel.

A load of stuff daughters brought back from uni and didn't remove when they moved out. Kitchen utensils, rice cooker and who knows what else.

A poncho that belonged to one daughter's Mexican ex-boyfriend.

Daughters' friends' degree portfolios as 'they weren't around to pick them up'

Daughters' portfolios.

An old trunk awaiting restoration.
Ditto an original Anglepoise lamp.

An old stereo and speakers.

Spare duvets.

4 or 5 suitcases.

3 large rucksacks.

A collection of my mum's childhood picture books from 1930s/40s.

3 boxes of Christmas decorations.

I need to do a car boot sale.

2 chairs, 4 suitcases.

The cause of the damp/cold patch in the 2nd bedroom ceiling. I have searched that area in loft carefully and cannot figure out why so can't figure out what to do to fix it. Shifting lots of insulation and using crawl boards, because that's all you'll find in my loft.

And a TV aerial I suppose.

Hopefully nobody!
