From a curious poster.

A mattress and a broken rowing machine, both left by the previous owners.

Nourishinghandcream · 01/05/2025 09:10

Nothing apart from the TV aerials.

When we moved we decided that nothing was going in the loft as at our ages, there is the danger it will stay there and never be seen again.
Shame in a way as the loft on our new house is vast, more than twice the space of our previous house (with the potential to store twice as much junk!).

Greenartywitch · 01/05/2025 09:11

Spiders.

A couple of wall paper rolls and spare insulation rolls left by previous owners.

Tradersinsnow · 01/05/2025 09:12

Probably a carpet python. If not, then rats and possums.

RolyPolyPolly · 01/05/2025 09:23

Are you James Bond?? @TheNameisNOTZiggy

That's incredibly specific @MargaretThursday.
I like it.

All kinds of random crap left over by the previous owners who moved in 2018. Then our Christmas decorations.

InMySpareTime · 01/05/2025 09:31

The inverter for the solar panels, lots of insulation, and several rats.
we’re definitely not hoarders, the garage is clear enough that we park the car in it.

Untrained · 01/05/2025 12:37

I fear - a wasps nest! I have had a few appear in the hall recently and I think they are coming in from the loft. We had a large nest up there years ago which my late husband dealt with a lot of spray wasp killer, a hoover and a home-made beekeeper suit. I cant/wont be recreating that so if I do have wasps up there again ill have to get a pro in which will cost - hence why I haven't gone up there yet to verify my fears!

Tarkan · 01/05/2025 12:42

DH’s “man cave” and probably about a billion model kits of tanks, planes and ships that he might finish one day (hahaha).

We also have a corner with a computer. About 3 Christmas trees and tons of decorations. Random boxes of stuff that I really hope contains my passport as it’s gone missing.

Quite a few spiders and a blackbird nest in a boxed off area (there’s a little hole under the gutter and they nest there every year).

Nannyfannybanny · 01/05/2025 12:46

Deck chairs, winter clothes and thick long curtains, I just got DH to swap and bring my summer stuff down. Summer duvet. Cushions. Christmas decorations ours and DD,cot, pushchair. Gas boiler. Inverter for solar panels,2 batteries for same.. empty suitcases.

Toddlerteaplease · 01/05/2025 13:28

No idea. I rented the houses for 8 years before I bought it. So have never been in. It’s full of junk from what I can see. But there is no ladder to get uo
there to look!

Two painted room divider screens left by our tenant when we were living away. Some old suitcases, some baskets and (hopefully) my vinyl collection.

I am worried about your vinyl collection. It can get really hot in a loft.
