As title says - there is so much on there, what has been brilliant?

All genres welcome!

Orange is the New Black - I used to subscribe just to see each new series.

Cotswoldmama · 27/04/2025 21:07

I was going to say orange is the new black too. I binge watched whilst on maternity leave, I hadn't been paying attention to how far in I was and realised I was watching the final episode and cried!

Handmaid's tale & This is us are not on Netflix. Pretty sure both were on Prime

EveSix · 28/04/2025 06:57

The Durrells

Big Bang Theory, followed by Young Sheldon

Vikings, followed by Vikings of Valhalla and then The Last Kingdom. The historical accuracy is skewy, but it's great storytelling.

Summerhouse is the first couple of series when it first aired on CH4. Then Top Boy follows on from that a few years later when it was brought back by a different network. Can't remember who. But give it another go. Summerhouse was brilliant.

Handmaids on Prime but all series now back on All4 too.

Onelifeonly · 28/04/2025 07:16

Schitts Creek
Ozark
Breaking Bad
Mindhunter
The Crown
Game of Thrones

There's loads of good US and UK crime documentaries and dramatic reconstructions of true crimes too though can't recall titles. The one about the Menendes brothers (there's also a documentary of them) and Geoffrey Darmer are good.

Haven't checked if these are all on there currently. Lots of old British TV series too. And films.

mepipesneedlagging · 28/04/2025 07:28

The one I was most excited about watching when I first got it was The Tinder Swindler.

Yes, I did. I really enjoyed. You have to really follow it to understand. My sister gave up after the first episode.

Squid Game
Black Mirror
House of Cards
Breaking Bad (though I wouldn't bother with Better Call Saul, I thought it was disappointing and didn't get past the first episode)

Mary46 · 28/04/2025 11:38

Love Ann with an E. These are good New Amsterdam and the Resident. Im enjoying Gilmore Girls too
