There was one particular song I heard in the immediate aftermath of breaking up with my ex, an extremely jealous controlling and physically abusive individual but one I still loved deeply, that I felt could’ve been written for me, and that was Better Man by Little Big Town. Also Burning House by Cam.

This for me too. She released it as I left my husband who was abusive to me. At the time it felt like she wrote it for me
