Hope everyone’s having a good Easter Sunday. I’m half watching old episodes of Escape To The Country - would kill for some of the kitchens! And there was one of the biggest beds I’ve ever seen! DH is griddling steaks. I’ve put in crinkle cut chips & breaded garlic mushrooms & just need to do the petitpois in a bit. I bought battered onion rings but not sure I can be bothered to find space in the oven for them as well. If I have room, there’s mint chocolate chip cheesecake bites in the freezer. DH not keen which is all the better for yours truly! Only had a caramel egg out of the whole chocolate stash today.

I can hear DH pottering about downstairs, with dogs and tea.
We're having our legga lamb later today, so I'll be doing prep in between snooker frames.
He's going to be moving a big pile of topsoil today on our land, ready for gardening. Unfortunately, one of our raised beds is out of commission, as it has a pheasant's nest full of eggs in it! I'll have to plant my rocket in a big pot in the garden for now.

DDs were up at 7am as usual. Cereal and then they shared an Easter egg for breakfast 🤣.

I've put a load of laundry in the tumble dryer and have given the kitchen a wipe down and the living room a vacuum. Now scrolling Mumsnet and DDs are watching cartoons. DH has just made me a coffee and brought it through.

Planning what to do for the day as it's pouring with rain and the last day of the school holidays. We were going to go to a National Trust property locally but if the weather doesn't improve it may be a bit miserable. I need to do a food shop as we don't have much in but I'm wondering whether I can hold off until tomorrow when it may be quieter and just rummage for something from the freezer for dinner.

I’m sitting having a cup of decaf tea and browsing Mumsnet. DH is watching highlights of the football match from yesterday involving his favourite team.
The decorator has been here since 8am doing some decorating upstairs.
DH is playing sport later this morning and I have some classes at the gym this afternoon.

Just having a hot cross bun and a coffee and watching the stolen girl after taking the dog for a long walk
Dh is still in bed
Dd and her boyfriend are still in bed they both worked until 1.00 am
Once everyone’s up we are taking Dd to get some groceries and go somewhere for coffee and cake as she’s driving back to university later
