Hope everyone’s having a good Easter Sunday. I’m half watching old episodes of Escape To The Country - would kill for some of the kitchens! And there was one of the biggest beds I’ve ever seen! DH is griddling steaks. I’ve put in crinkle cut chips & breaded garlic mushrooms & just need to do the petitpois in a bit. I bought battered onion rings but not sure I can be bothered to find space in the oven for them as well. If I have room, there’s mint chocolate chip cheesecake bites in the freezer. DH not keen which is all the better for yours truly! Only had a caramel egg out of the whole chocolate stash today.

Not sure what's happening in our house. Dh and I have escaped for a weekend away leaving our 23 and 21 year old home alone.

I'm sure the house will be still standing when we get home.

Just in from a day in London - fully Minecrafted out 😁 Went to see the movie at the 4D cinema on Leicester Square (holy crap - i had no idea what I'd bought and it felt like being on a really intense roller coaster for two hours - bloody loved it!) followed by the Minecraft Experience in Canada Water.

Day started out on a row with DD so was glad to put it behind us and enjoy ourselves so much - rarely have days like this with my DC now they're teens so will really treasure today.

Dh and dc are watching a fast and furious film. We're all stuffed from having dinner out with my parents, who have not long gone home. I'm scrolling on my phone, thinking of/looking at
gift ideas for my friend. Taking the dc to zip world tomorrow. It's still half term here for another week.

I'm watching a movie with DH. DS's are gaming upstairs and they have a friend sleeping over.

Husband is sleeping because he’s on nights.
Eldest is at work.
Youngest and DIL are making dinner.
Dogs sound asleep.
I found Coach Trip on Tubi (US).
Having a glass of wine and thinking of the Easter egg hunt days…

A lot of you seem to have had very peaceful evenings, I’m jealous. I was trying to get autistic 9yo and hyper 5yo to sleep and I was feeling much more done in than them. Intervening in arguments and listening to fart jokes. Eldest only just settled.

I’ve just polished off another egg, kids are in bed and DH and I are putting the world to rights while we watch a bike race.

We’ve all just gone to bed, I’m on my iPad scrolling mn, then about to read on archive of our own and fanfiction. Also doing my weekly check on Rightmove looking at houses I’ll never be able to afford., DP on his phone, I suspect ds17 is on his, dd12 was doing skincare when I last checked (she’s not allowed her phone in the room past 10. My mum is watching tv. Before we went to bed… I was watching Chicago p.d on my iPad, mum and sister were watching boxing, DP was watching below deck, dd was on a video call with her friends and Ds was gaming.

Oh please tell me where you got the cheesecake bites from? I love mint choc chip😋 I've been to my daughters and daughter in laws for a roast ( chicken and gammon) all the trimmings..spent time with Grandson and step Grandkids.
Came home and watched telly.

Moier they are from Tesco. The lemon & mascarpone are pretty good too! You can eat them straight from the freezer.

Me and dd(teen) are staying up late watching Gilmore girls, drinking wine (me) and eating Easter eggs (both of us) - she didn’t get any until about half 7 as I’ve been working all day and she said she wanted to wait and have an eater egg hunt when I finished, Dp went to bed around 9 as he has early shift at work tomorrow.

Ahh I love these threads, like a mini glimpse into peoples lives.
Everyone is in bed in our house except me and the dog. Dh is asleep, I don’t know if the teens are asleep but my youngest who’s 6 is. I’ve come down to get a sleeping tablet because I’m trying to pass a kidney stone at the moment and sleep isn’t easy. Just shared a bunny shaped gingerbread biscuit with the dog.
Tomorrow we’re taking the youngest to soft play and dropping some more eggs to family I didn’t see today. That’s if I’m not in too much pain. It’s not the most fun guessing game tbh but I’m trying to carry on with life as best I can till the pain ramps up again.

I'm sitting on the stairs drinking a beer and periodically checking on my son who's been violently vomiting for the past few hours. I've just unblocked the sink (it was closer than the loo).

Spent the day washing and ironing . Dh works away and is home tomorrow so cut the grass to save him a job 🤣 . I’ve had a couple of wines and now heading to bed .

I'm sat up with my son who has also vomited. We'd had a lovely Easter up until that point. Hope your son is better soon.

Easter Monday 8:40am.

In bed with a cuppa that DH made. He’s reading something on the IPad. I’m scrolling on my phone. One pup on the end of the bed, the other has gone outside with the cat. Lovely and peaceful.

I’m spending Easter at my mum’s hospice bedside as these may be her final days. DM isn’t eating but the hospice staff are endlessly amazing and brought round eggs for everyone. DH and the teens are at home two hours away. I’ve not been home for a couple of weeks but they’ve had a day of bike rides, tv, and chocolate eggs on the sofa. Glad DH has kept some semblance of normality for them… terrified of what state the house might be in whenever I get home.

😁 my lot is still fast asleep.

I on the other hand got up just after 6 :30 with the dogs. So having my breakfast right now. Leaving soon for another day of Agility Competition.

Everyone is asleep here I'm contemplating going to the gym to burn off some of the Easter excess but currently having a peaceful coffee while scrolling Mumsnet

Will visit friends later and then early nights all round as we are back to school/work tomorrow

Cat woke me up at 5, it was just getting light.

Ive decided that I’m going to go back to bed for an hour when everyone is up.
Best morning ever.

Everyone in bed apart from me and the dogs. Enjoying a quiet coffee or two before I go and meet with the farrier who is doing my 2 donkeys hooves this morning. Planning some jobs in the garden today.
