Do you take your handbag up to bed?

I have taken to carrying a backpack this holiday as we are out and about a lot. (Normally I have a work bag or weekend handbag).
I normally bring up my book, tablet for kindle and my phone, and a bottle of water, bad maybe a notebook. I have just had a revelation that most of these things are in my backpack as we have just got in, so I have just brought the whole thing up. It has jogged a memory that lots of people do this I think - maybe older people?

It seems strange to have an outside bag this far up - we are in the loft!

What do others do?

I always take my handbag into the bedroom with me.

It contains my purse, keys, bank cards and phone. I will never leave those easily accessible downstairs, no matter what anyone else tries to say.

I've recently stopped using my work handbag as it's easier to transport everything I need, including my laptop, in a rucksack. My work handbag lives in my office at the top of the house, along with the rucksack.

My other handbags live under the stairs, for if I need them at the weekend (rarely do).

I take my reading glasses, kindle and a drink upstairs when I go to bed.

Handbag (with wallet and door key) are far away from the door in the hallway. in a basket with other bags. Car keys are in a box in the dining room (back of the house), there is also a drawer where DH keeps his house keys and wallet.

My phone, ipad and laptops are all in the living room (front of the house), often on various chargers. DH takes his phone to bed.

I mainly use my handbag for going to work or on a whole day out without a coat. I only have one and don't want to move content around constantly. If I go out without it I just put my phone, wallet and keys in my coat.

No, bags and keys are hanging by the front door, anyone who breaks in can take the lot. I'd rather that than them not being able to find anything and coming upstairs to have a look!

My bag always goes up at the end of the day, because years ago, a friend had a burglary, and her handbag (on a chair downstairs), was pinched. It was a world of pain to replace everything, and cancel all the bank stuff. So ever since, I have taken my bag upstairs!

I live in a house now but I grew up in a flat and lived in flats almost all my life, so this has never been part of my upbringing. I leave my handbag downstairs when I get home (hung on the buggy handle,
which is next to the front door). Phone is always in my pocket as I use it throughout the day and charge it next to my bed. I've been burgled twice but I wasn't home and my bag was with me. I'd find it a faff to bring my bag up and downstairs every day (I used to occasionally leave the house without it before I started hanging it on the buggy, which was a pain as the front door locks shut without a key, so I'd get locked out).
