During your teens which female celebrities did you think of as stunning/beautiful?

I was born in '73 and have always had a huge passion for music. I suppose most of the female celebrities that I wanted to look like were singers. My top 4 were (and still are),

Sade (the most beautiful woman in the world imo and I still adore her music)

Debbie Harry

Susanna Hoffs (still stunning at 66)

Belinda Carlisle

I thought Gillian Anderson was gorgeous in her X file days.

And Nicole Kidman too. Now I hardly recognise them.

I agree about Nicole but I think Gillian has aged really well.

I find it interesting that there hasn't been one mention of Diana, Princess of Wales.Maybe she's not classed as a celebrity?

I think the fact my nan and aunties liked her probably put her out of the running for me.

I found her charismatic but never beautiful.

That said, I loved her Vogue shoot, and her athleticism when she was in her thirties.

The most beautiful royal woman for me was Margaret. Or maybe the fair-haired duchess who attended Wimbledon and ended up teaching music.

I was a teen in the 90s and she (or any of the RF) wasn’t someone I’d have been remotely interested in. She looked and dressed much older than she was so she wasn’t at all appealing to me and my friends. My nan liked her.

I watched shows like 90210, Baywatch and Friends and thought Shannon Doherty was lovely, also Yasmine Bleeth, Courtney Cox and Jennifer Anniston. And Liv Tyler and Alicia Silverstone.

I mainly noticed men though. 😅

Doitrightnow · 07/04/2025 22:35

In the 90s. Not many tbh, I mostly wasn't in to celebrities. But Kate Winslet in Titanic and Marilyn Monroe. I think I envy their gorgeous sexy curves which I don't have. Agree with the pp who said Catherine Zeta Jones too.

It's not that neither have aged well, I think it's perhaps because they're not always in the public eye. Which, makes them better actresses because its all about the character they're playing rather than about their persona.

Could be I'm wrong about being in the public eye though.

piscofrisco · 08/04/2025 07:29

Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford, Kylie.
