Male in female toilets

So yesterday I'd popped to the supermarket and after my shop went to the loo. It was empty, I went to the cubicle which was ajar and pushed it open. There sitting on the toilet was a bloke in his 40s with his trousers and pants around his ankles. He frightened me to death. I shot out of said toilets and reported him to the staff. If a child had gone in there alone I dread to think....dodgy as hell. And no it wasn't a bloke pretending to be a woman.(Not that that is any better)

I always approach an ajar cubicle door with caution because you never know what might be behind it 😫

Sorry this happened to you OP, I'd have jumped out of my skin. I've accidentally gone into the mens toilets before (at work of all places) so appreciate it can happen but I'm very sceptical of a man not noticing the lack of urinals and the signage

Unless he was not compos mentis, he's probably a dirty bugger

Edited

He clearly was expecting me more than I was expecting him. He would've heard me coming and seen me too. I jumped, he just stared at me.

Well if I meet him in the ladies, he’ll be sorry.

On the face of it this sounds like a simple mistake OP. Poor guy was probably mortified.

Poor guy??? More like poor you for being so naïve as to think that this was completely innocent. 🙄

OneRainyNight · 31/03/2025 16:52

Dirty perv.

@SlipperyLizard Did he wash his hands? Or was he like so many men who think that their dick is super clean so no need to wash their hands after touching it?

In a restaurant in a European city recently, I went to the loos. The layout was such that there was one door in to the bathroom with one sink directly in front as you entered with another door to the right for the female toilet and one door to the left for the male toilet. As I came out of the female toilet I was greeted to the sight of a man standing peeing at the other loo without bothering to shut the door to his side. I quickly washed my hands and left, but realised less than 2 seconds after me he was walking out behind me so couldn't possibly have washed his hands. When he sat down at a table near us, I was so tempted to tell his partner about his lack of hand washing! 🤢

Why was the cubicle door not locked though? If the lock was broken, every single woman I know would use a different one, OR if they were all full, shove their foot against the door or anything else to hold it shut and ensure they weren't walked in on. This man didn't seem to care?

Some men are just perverts odd. I was once eating at a cafe. Went to use the only toilet which was the accessible/baby changing etc. one. Pushed the door open to the sight of a bloke sitting on the loo with his trousers and pants round his ankles. I apologised and retreated, thinking the door lock must be faulty. Afterwards, when the toilet became available, I went to use it myself. There was nothing wrong with the lock; I was able to lock the door no problem. So why the fuck didn't he. 🧐

Greyskybluesky · 31/03/2025 16:58

It's horrible @UnctuousUnicorns. Bad enough for you but it could have been a child walking in. Why don't these men think about that.

@imnotsickbutimnotwell
You are raising a very valid point and I apologise for my mishap.
Let me rephrase it:
Maybe she was assigned male at birth but she was actually a woman who looked like a man?

Edited

Sex is observed at birth, not assigned. I wish people would use the correct word.

They DO think about it…..with hope in their hearts

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 31/03/2025 17:24

The fact that he didn’t lock the door, while presumably well aware that he was using the women’s loos, says PERVE loud and clear to me.

But ordinarily I wouldn’t object to a man in women’s loos if it was an emergency - eg the men’s were closed.
I have used the men’s in John Lewis when the women’s were closed and I couldn’t wait!

I think he might well have been thinking about that….unfortunately.

All the ads surrounding this post have suddenly turned into Morrisons for me! 😄
You're getting publicity Morrisons, but it's not the publicity you would want.

I had to use the gents once (outdoor public toilets) as the ladies was locked up (I mean, wtf?) Checked noone was in there, then DH stood guard while I went into the sole cubicle and out the place as quickly as possible, all the while holding my nose as it, predictably, fricking honked. 🤢

Of course it wasn’t a bloody mistake… unless men habitually don’t shut the door when they’re using a cubicle?
It was to intimidate and/or give himself a thrill.

In the Costa's coffee shop that I visit regularly,I can guarantee that any time I go to go in the toilet and there's someone in there who hasn't locked the door,it is ALWAYS a man!

Flytrap01 · 31/03/2025 22:26

correct me if im wrong but if a person identifies as a women regardless of the outfit of the person then i presume they can use the women's toilets in the uk

It is very depressing. Morrison's has form for this. A 10 year old girl was raped in a Scottish Morrison's by a trans identified male, Katy Delatoski? Was let off first offence, re offended and served time in a womens prison. But of course this never happens...

It was Katy Dolatowski. Fortunately, the girl wasn't raped, but only because she punched Katy in the balls. That was in Kirkcaldy.

Katy had previously committed voyeurism against a 12 yr old girl in another supermarket toilet, in Dunfermline. It's since come out that the MSP for Dunfermline told other SNP members to keep quiet about it all... [Source N. Hanvey, former MSP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.]

Let off? For rape? Rape of a child? What do you mean? 😧

It was attempted rape. He was merely tagged and released. (Under 21 and a first offence.) [ETA Even though it was really his second offence. The first was voyeurism.]

Of course, he had subsequent offences - unlawful images on his computer plus failing to observe curfew.

As a teenager I once went into a women’s public loo & there were two men in the next cubicle! Clearly shooting up heroin. I definitely surprised them. (This was before they got blue lights in public loos locally to prevent people finding veins).
Basically I was so desperate to go I locked myself in my cubicle & used it anyway. I could hear them talking. Then they ran out as I left. I was concerned about getting mugged I must admit.
I think the men’s public loo only had urinals there which is why they were in the ladies.

He was dressed in workman’s clothes, no sign of him identifying as a woman.
