Freddies Flowers. Much nicer and better value for money than a premade bouquet in my experience.

Lollypop701 · 16/03/2025 07:48

I like M&S…

Neveranynamesleft · 16/03/2025 07:49

No experience sorry but if you need something urgent, Interflora do same day delivery.

EnjoyingTheArmoire · 16/03/2025 07:49

Always had good experience with Waitrose flowers.

Iknowaboutpopular · 16/03/2025 07:51

I've had very hit and miss experiences with online flowers. Recently sent some to a poorly aunt who refused to accept them on my behalf and sent them back because they were so shit. I realised I'd been refunded and couldn't understand why until aunt phoned and said so.

What i tend to do is phone a florist local to the person I'm sending to and pay over the phone by card. The flowers are always much nicer.

LogicalImpossibility · 16/03/2025 07:53

Interflora or M&S. Not Bloom and Wild, I got complaints from my mum when I sent her some of them!

user1497787065 · 16/03/2025 07:55

I had two lots from Bloom and Wild for my birthday recently and thought they were excellent. Both looked good into their third week.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 16/03/2025 08:34

Thanks everyone. A mixed bag of experiences.

I’m afraid it really is variable. I’ve had poor experiences with Waitrose and M&S and better ones. The Bloom and Wild ones were good though.

I think looking for a local florist is your best bet.

Lindy2 · 16/03/2025 08:42

Bloom and Wild are good but they send their flowers dormant so they look a bit underwhelming at first. It takes a few days for the flowers to open up and then they tend to stay lovely for 2 - 3 weeks. They don't give instant impact though. A local florist is probably better for a more traditional, delivered in bloom bouquet.

Scilly Island flowers. Scented narcissi by post. V reasonable price, ethical, beautiful.

singletonatlarge · 16/03/2025 10:11

Agree with looking up a local florist on Google maps and ordering through them.

sashh · 16/03/2025 10:26

After knowing several people have bad experiences with interflora I look up a local flower shop and place an order over the phone.

Bloom and Wilde are nice but expensive.

Smoothandsmooth · 16/03/2025 10:32

I always google for florists near the recipient. Find one with good reviews (unless they are out in the boonies, in which case there’s usually not much choice!) and order directly through them. To date I’ve had really lovely bouquets delivered each time (in England and Australia).

Springhassprungagain · 16/03/2025 10:37

Smith and Munson do lovely British grown tulips that come really nicely packed.

Kitsmummy · 16/03/2025 14:20

I've received two lots from M&S...look very pretty but didn't last at all.

Bloom and Wild have always been good for me

CoffeeBeansGalore · 16/03/2025 14:25

Bunches.co.uk

Never had a bad bunch. Last at least 2 weeks. I've both sent & received from them. Gorgeous.

BeaAndBen · 16/03/2025 14:27

I really rate Arena Flowers. Dh got me a subscription for Christmas a few years back and I loved it so much I’ve done it 3 times. I’ve also sent them to relatives in different parts of the U.K. and they have been very well received.

Ethical, environmentally responsible, and they lasted very well.

B and M Flowers. Yes, B and M 😁 Great flowers, excellent price, plain box.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 16/03/2025 14:31

M&S's delivery partners, I forget who, have ruined things more than once, including the replacement for a damaged planted basket. I won't use M&S again.

I recommend Haute Florist or Arena Flowers for quality.

This is what I do as well. The florist is likely to take care.As they know they are delivering to somebody local who might then recommend the business to other locals.

LittleBearPad · 16/03/2025 14:33

Bloom & Wild look a bit rubbish when they come out the box but look beautiful within a day or two and then last well.

Friddies Flowers are good - so are M&S

JaniceLongSchlong · 16/03/2025 14:34

M&S flowers consistently good for my mum. Nice big bunch of roses and a box of chocolate and Prosecco. Flowers lasted a long time

Deliver next day might do same day for a premium.

I like Bloom and Wilde but as others have said they look underwhelming in the box as they aren’t in full flower but last ages. I’d get them for myself!

Hadalifeonce · 16/03/2025 14:34

I always look up a local florest to the recipient, and order from there.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 16/03/2025 17:52

Thank you everyone. I’m going to ring a florist local to my friend in the morning and take it from there. 🌷
