Good Morning All! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, after a nice lie in snuggled up with both kittens (they're nearly a year old now!) who came to bed after I kicked them out of the bedroom for mountaineering at 7am 🤣. Everyone else is still in bed, for now, so it's nice and quiet. Won't last long though...one of the girls' Alexa alarms has just gone off & I'm not sure which one!

There's a couple of loads of washing to be done this morning, and last night's cooked breakfast pots to be washed. No-one could be bothered after tea. & when I've posted this, I'm going to list a couple of things on Vinted while I finish my tea.

Today I'm off to a gig, in Leeds, with dd1 that isn't one of her birthday ones! We've booked more for the opener than main act but enjoy both so it should be fun! Plan is to leave here between 2/3pm, get the train, and eat in Leeds before walking to the venue 40 mins out of the centre <prays to the Google Maps Gods for simple directions>. We'll be on the last train home & straight to bed for me, after a cuppa 💤

Dd2 wasn't fussed about doing anything today when their dad asked - she's off out with a friend tomorrow.

Morning all! Slow day here, but glorious sunshine so will be pottering indoors with the back doors open which makes me feel very happy!
cloth nappies on the line already and a white wash is about to finish so hopefully the sun will get those dry by dusk. DD is playing Lego Harry Potter and DS is practicing his crawling so needing to hoover and mop for the millionth time.

Good morning everyone, just back from a 2.5 hour walk with the dog in beautiful sunshine, it was warm too! So lovely being outside first thing, I’m enjoying my coffee and a crumpet with marmite 😋
The house needs a really good clean and tidy and there’s washing in the machine that I need to hang out first.
Another dog walk later, but nothing else planned yet.

Good morning @lucysmam and all.
I'm in the hospital waiting for Dh to come out of his endoscopy appointment. He's suffering with terrible reflux so is undergoing a whole series of investigations to see what's causing it.
We were extremely early so had a nice early morning walk around the city.

Later, as long as Dh feels ok, we're meeting some friends for a walk and drink. Dh will be on water only, but says he'd rather go and see people than sit at home being miserable, which is an improvement.

Ds1 is home from uni but will be with his gf today, and I'm not sure what ds2 is doing. He was in bed when we left and had no firm plans last night but I suspect he will be out with friends as they are all crawling out of their bedrooms now the weather has improved, and mocks finished this week so they're a bit demob happy.

I've been up a few hours but been pottering around. Going to put the finishing touches to my sermon for tomorrow then put on another load of laundry. Will pop out to the supermarket at some point this afternoon to get stuff for our evening meal.

Feel very blessed to have slept well all night until 9am and woken to a sunny morning. Finished dd2’s corn chips and had a mug of coffee, very peaceful. Waiting now for sainsbo delivery, after which will walk the dog and then do some gardening. Such a lot of pruning to do and time to Knock the moss back. I need to make a lovely supper tonight as we are all at home, nit sure what to cook.

We had plans to take the boys to the park as the weather is nice.

They've quickly been changed as our toddler threw up in our bed just after 6 (after sneaking in during the night) and then a few more times since.

Eldest boy is being packed off to grandma's now instead.

Good morning everyone.
Had the gas man come out at 8.30 am to replace the thermostat knob on one of our radiators.Have got a load of washing hanging outside as it's sunny here just now.DH has taken a walk down to our local butcher to get our dinner and I've been tidying up the kitchen.
We'll both take a wander over to the local retail park later to pick out some paint for our bedroom then take a walk back the long way round via a local NT property which has a lovely woodland walk and leads to a path by a burn to take us home.
The garden still needs some work done on it so that will get finished off, then just chill in the evening and watch a film.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I have some family problems which is affecting my sleep so I've had a very restless night. However the sun is up and it feels mild. I've been to Aldi and stocked up, stripped the bed and have whites in the washing machine. I've had two coffees earlier and just finished two slices of toast with butter and a cuppa. Most of the housework was done yesterday, so I'll concentrate on hoovering and washing floors today. I have piles of stuff in the dining room waiting to go to a charity shop. That might be on the cards for later. Mince and tatties for dinner. Have a good day all

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone - my favourite thread of the week & the Sunday one too. Awake since about 7 & made a cuppa to have in bed with DH but only just out of the shower/dressed. Making another cuppa then will unload/load the dishwasher & put some clothes in the tumble dryer. DH off to work in a bit. DD16 is awake but hasn’t emerged yet. She was asking if we can do something today but I’m not sure what. I’m going to sit with DM this afternoon whilst DF plays golf (if the rain stops) or maybe goes food shopping if it doesn’t. I might go to Tescos later. Definitely need milk if nothing else. I got a spatchcock out of the freezer last night which we’ll have for tea with roasties, carrots, broccoli & gravy. Might have a bacon sarnie for lunch. Had a deep clean done on Thursday so just bits to do, although our room needs blitzing & I want to clear out my side of the wardrobe as well. Have a big pile of clothes to try on & some to photograph for putting on selling sites. I might fit in a charity shop run as my boot is full. BGT tonight with a glass or two of Freixenet zero.

Morning all. On the way to our ghastly home area to visit family. These visits tend to be pretty stressful and I'm not at my best during them. I find it all very triggering, as the young ones would say! No matter - it's only a few hours and it's a lovely drive, in the main. We'll have a chinese takeaway and lots of wine for dinner.

I woke up about 15 minutes ago now having coffe.

I’ve jsut watched dd1s uni rugby match on live steam and now I’m working up the energy for the 8 mile trail run I’d planned with my dog. Not been well this week but want to do it as it’s such a nice day.

later I’ll probably do some household stuff and maybe read my book in the garden. DHs turn to cook which is always nice.

Up since 6 with the toddler. Managed one (twice reheated) cuppa since then. Just packed the bags to visit the in-laws for the rest of the day. Will get home about 8pm probably to toss the kids in bed (they'll sleep in the car on the way home and be very grumpy when we transfer them). No relaxing at the in-laws though, they're in ill-health so we're heading up to help out! Hopefully the kids will have got the memo to be easy going today for everybody's sake 😆🙏

It's been a really busy week, and it's a really busy weekend we've got full day tomorrow too 🥴 I need a rest!

Been reminded to eat my ready made pancakes this weekend! I had a disaster on Pancake Day as my batter didn't work. Dh and ds's gf had one each but me and ds missed out so we'll have them later🥞

I haven't heard of them @lucysmam but that doesn't mean a thing. A lot of the best bands aren't household names. I hope you both enjoy it.

Im fighting off a bug, my fourth one since mid-January and I've been feeling sorry for myself as I'm just fed up with it all. Woke up this morning not 100% better but definitely better than I've been for the past week and a half so fingers crossed I'm finally on the mend.

My DB and SIL are travelling up to visit my parents this weekend so we're going over there to see them and coming home tomorrow. DC2 turned 17 a couple of weeks ago so it's a birthday celebration weekend but DC1 told us on Monday that she was away at a convention this weekend and now DH has said he's not feeling well so he might not come. I feel awful for DC2 as the birthday celebrations were muted on the day because I felt so rubbish and now the birthday weekend seems to be going the same way.

Another beautiful day here, will stick the washing on the line once the machine is finished. Going to get out in the garden today, then it's a trip to smyths and a meal out this evening to celebrate my kids' achievements in their clubs this week. So proud of them so thought a little treat is in order.

Dp has just done us all bacon sarnis so will chill with a cuppa whilst waiting for the washing machine, then get moving as we're all in pjs still

Morning everyone (just)! Slept late this morning, and now having a coffee and a scroll with DP, who very bravely got up and made me a coffee even though he’s exhausted from work this week. ❤️

Today is gorgeous, so I’ve thrown open all the windows to air the place out and we’ll be heading to the farmer’s market for flowers (and maybe some cheese…). Then it’s a big declutter, lots of wine and the countdown to gladiators. No idea what’s for dinner, but that’s a problem for my future self. Have a beautiful day everyone!

I'm full of cold but somehow thought it was a good idea to still go to Parkrun this morning. To be fair it's a beautiful day here and was glad of the fresh air.
I'll be taking it easy for the rest of the day with the usual washing and tidying around the house.
I'm off away long haul next week so need to sort out how to fit all my clothes into a carry on because I don't want to pay £100 extra for a checked bag.
Dinner will probably be a takeaway or something easy.

It’s 7:40pm here. Had an early dinner, bath and in bed. Have a headache, stomach ache and been crying. Grief is so draining. The pups are keeping me company. Animals are so good at reading emotions. I am blessed to have them.

@Bbq1 we see a lot of tiny indie bands. Last weekend's gig was 55 people & a whole tenner for each ticket 🤣. We do go to some big ones too though & have Gracie Abrams on Thursday! Was it you whose DS needed his amp repaired? How did that go?

Morning all. I had some weird illness last night, freezing cold and shivering. I was in bed at 9pm woke up at 10am and am just lying on the sofa in my jammies.
Will have to live vicariously through this thread while looking at the lovely sunny day through the window
