Lighthearted disagreement ...

Our dishwasher has just packed up!

We are currently washing up by hand (not an issue).

My DP and I disagree about drying up, so out of interest would like opinions.

Do the majority of people wash up and then leave it all on the side to air dry or do you dry up with a tea towel?

One of us wants the washing up put away immediately and the other thinks it's a waste of time to dry up!

Realistically, it's no big deal! There's so many more important things to worry about!

Air-dry. Wash it all up before bed and it's dry to put away in the morning while the kettle boils and the cats are being fed.

Air drying is more hygienic.

Air dry here.

Won't it get damp and smelly if the water doesn't drain away?

There's minimal water as it's just the small amounts that drip off the pots tbh. And she leaves the door open bit for air circulation. It actually works well as a method not as good as actually using the dishwasher

Air dry what can be left on the drying rack ndry the rest with a towel. So happy our dishwasher is working again.
