I've won a prize on the National Lottery!!

Just checked my emails and there is one this evening from the National Lottery to say that I've won a prize! It says I need to log in to my account to see what my prize is. I've just tried to login but because it's 4.30am, the system is down due to updating.

I could be a millionaire! Or I might have won a fiver?

Congrats! I won £30 this week too, I was well chuffed as it’s usually £2.50 haha

DH and I have all our savings in Premium Bonds. We usually get a few wins every month. £25 last month, £250 in January, handy after spending on Christmas. Once a few years ago we got £1000. And there’s always the chance of a million pounds!

You don’t have the cost of buying tickets, and your money is safe in National Savings and Investments. Well worth buying a few. I like having a flutter that doesn’t cost anything!

I regularly win £25 or £50 through premium bonds and my golden rule is to spend any winnings as frivoulously as possible, on something where the treat factor is high.
I know £30 isn't much these days but could you go and browse in a bookshop, picking your favorite one or two books maybe a beautiful hard backed coffee table book. Or if that's not your thing, take yourself off for afternoon tea, or your nails done, or ( as I have!) wander round the food hall at m abc s buying the fat juicy prawns or an exotic fruit I've never tried before...

Go and enjoy it and make it an event whatever you choose

It says you have won a significant prize if you win big, someone on here has posted about it before. £30 is decent though

I don't play lotto very often, only when I hear it advertised as a super big jackpot or a guaranteed ten millionaires etc but 30 quid is certainly more than I've ever won over the last ten years.

Apparently they don’t tell you how much you’re won in the email because so many people share their email addresses with family members /assistants at work etc.

We got 5 numbers recently and it was £1750. Split between 3 people didn’t go far but we were delighted

Does anyone - when they get the notification - ever have a quick think about what they'd buy if they got jackpot, £1mil, £5K etc? Or is that just me? Congrats OP (and all the other winners!!).

Yes! When I get the email, I usually spend a few minutes fantasing about what car I would buy first, where I would take the entire family on holiday to and who I would give money to (so they can do endless spa days with me). It' a nice respite.

We have won £5 during the last fortnight. We have decided not to give up our jobs and currently deciding what this will be spent on!

I'm in the postcode lottery. Won £12 look last month. I paid £12 to enter, so...rebate?
