I have one, it is its first winter but seems to be dealing quite well. I have a thriving olive tree too (the fence at that side of the garden gets full sun most days).
@chocolateychurros You can do that with a taxi, I've done it a couple of times, but as you said not cheap.
I thought everywhere had the system that tells you how many spaces there are in car parks.
And I (well my carer) calls the pharmacy and order repeat prescriptions. They are delivered a couple of days later in dossette boxes.
I had a couple of blood tests at the GP, apparently my B12 was low so I got a text saying I needed to book in for injections and later that day the pharmacy delivered the folate with the instructions to take after the jabs.
And yes I use 'patient access' it is so useful when you are on as many meds as I am that you can just print out what you are taking.
One thing I liked in Ecuador is the busses. There are no trains so long distance travel is by bus, the drivers/owners take great care in decorating them.
Every so often they stop at a bus stop and someone gets on with a basket of fruit, or a cool box with ice cream, they walk the length of the bus and you can buy from them. They get off at the next stop.
