DH on the way to shops, my mind is blank, fancy something that feels a bit special.

What’s everyone else having?

Marry me chicken with mash and green veg. We were going to have steak cooked on the bbq but the rain stopped that.

Marry me chicken is possibly the nicest chicken dish ever. That and the Copycat Chipotle chicken.

I have some M&S tempura chicken tenders. DH and I will have them with stir fried veg and jasmine rice. DS1 will have his in a bun with salad and DS2 with chips and lots of ketchup. Both have ASD so every meal is a matter of how I can prepare 3 different meals without having a nervous breakdown!

Roast salmon with couscous.

OrangeBlossom28 · 15/02/2025 17:45

@likerocksfalling It's the Taming Twins recipe and it's a firm favourite in our house. Just so tasty!
I'm intrigued by the copycat chipotle chicken now!

VenusClapTrap · 15/02/2025 17:52

If DH is on his way to the shops, get him to make a decision and do the cooking?

We’re having bowls of hearty fish chowder here.

caringcarer · 15/02/2025 17:54

2 teens having a pizza each. I'm having quiche because it's needs cooking today. DH said he is eating up leftovers. I've bought a load of food today so I'm trying to clear space in fridge.

Nepalese takeaway, I'll have tandoori salmon, saag aloo and garlic naan, and some lamb momos, he's still deciding.

@OrangeBlossom28 I’ve used the BBC recipe but will check out the Taming Twins.

The chipotle chicken is also so nice , especially the day after which most things otherwise aren’t. It’s the one thing we can eat for days in salads, tacos or anything really! So it’s worth making a lot.

I don't add the lemon juice although I should try it!

Bamboozles · 15/02/2025 18:11

I saw it had lemon juice. The BBC recipe has lemon wedges on the side but I’ve never tried it with it. Do we dare change such a winning recipe? 😂

weegiemum · 15/02/2025 18:17

We're having our Valentine's Day meal tonight as we were both too tired last night.

Starter of hot smoked salmon on pitta with crème fraiche.
Main course of venison steaks with red wine sauce, asparagus and potato wedges.
No pudding, we'll be too full!

Hot honey halloumi pasta.

Oh that sounds incredible, do you have a recipe???

mumda · 15/02/2025 18:19

Angus Burger in a brioche bun with brie and bacon and sliced dill pickle. Served with chips and battered onion rings. And some peas.

OrangeBlossom28 · 15/02/2025 18:21

@likerocksfalling that chipotle chicken looks exactly like the sort of thing we would love. Thank you!

Deedeesharpwhatkindoflady · 15/02/2025 18:24
