I will summise:

Recently divorced. Get on well and co parent. Live together due to financials for now. No real issue with that.

Work part time in health care for NHS

Treat myself daily to a cafetiere every morning at home...I get up at 5am to do this so I have an hour with the cats and some dark choc! (This is my daily treat) But.... I'm missing that something. That spark and excitement.

I keep thinking I want to date, to get a boyfriend, or girlfriend even, but quickly realise I just can't be .... arsed.

I'm 48, perhaps this is my menopause initiating an uprising.

So please indulge me.... what things do you do that spark joy? I'd love to be inspired.

Thank you...

I will be spending the next few weeks reading and listening. Trying different things and seeing what sticks or sparks. I hope these links might help someone else too.

I'm an early riser too, I really love that morning bubble between 5:30 and 7:30.
I make some coffee, listen to some jazz (never the news), do my daily journal + start planning my day.
And then I take my dog to the park for a long walk.
Best moment of the day.

Watching the birds scoff what I throw out to them every morning. Half an hour's hilarious pleasure watching the comings and goings, and the big birds swooping in and the little uns flying away, then the teenies come back when the big uns head off. It's like a symphony of pleasure.

Planning and researching little trips away. Semi retired now so have time. I've been all over Europe on my laptop, it's great lol 😊

I am an early riser and I read for a while before I start getting ready for work.
I have started taking myself to the cinema and watching films that I actually want to see in an olde worlde cinema. It's lovely :) I just go by myself.

Dogs.

Walking the dogs; stroking the dogs; snuggling up with the dogs.
