Found drugs in my sons bedroom

Last night i was cleaning my sons room (he's on his first lads holiday) so thought it would give me chance to clean his room thoroughly because he lives like a tramp

He has a book shelf and there was a book on his computer desk so I've gone to put it back with his books and a little drug bag has fell out with white powder
At first I thought it could be cocaine but I've had my party days I know what it looks like
Yes I did stupidly dip my finger and taste a crumb of it it doesn't have a taste it's a fine white powder but tastes chalky does anybody know what it could be? I know what ketamine looks like and it's deffo not that and it isn't cocaine either so what could it be?

Just asked my DH (I wouldn't know!) and he said it definitely looks like Coke. He said Coke goes all powdery on the bag like that, whereas others don't. He said if it tastes chalky it's probably been mixed with creatine.

My first thought was that if it was drugs, surely he would taken it with him on holiday? Cocaine and MDMA taste awful, definitely not chalky. I believe ketamine is the same.

Taking drugs through airport security is not the best idea ever.

It's cocaine. It's shite cocaine that's been cut to fuck, with benzos or paracetamol or pro plus or some other bollocks but I'm 98% that's coke. Potentially CK but I don't think so.

I agree with this, MDMA and amphetamine taste so unbelievably rank you would know instantly.

Don't bother sending it off to be tested. Wait until your son comes home, and ask him. Then, read him the riot act and tell him if he EVER brings drugs into your home again, he can fuck off and find somewhere else to live. Don't get sidetracked by him whining about you going in his room.

Totally agree with this. Regardless of what drug it is, he shouldn't be using it or bringing it in to your home. A firm convo needs to be had about the dangers of drugs. And you have every right to tidy his room!

He'd have to be pretty sodding stupid to try and take a class A drug through airport security.

I'd 100% throw it in the bin btw. Can't imagine he will start complaining to you about his lost bag of drugs.
Maybe phone the FRANK helpline, they could advise you on how to broach the issue.

If it’s cocaine it will be kind of sticky, but if you heat up a plate in a microwave and pour it out onto that, you should be able to manipulate it with the edge of a card into a much finer more dry powder.

You could then dispose of it and read your son the riot act, or just have a line.

I think it’s probably shit cocaine that’s been cut with something powdery and chalky. The sticking to the bag gives it away.

Looks like every bag of really crap coke I've ever seen. Sit your son down and tell him he needs to get himself a better dealer or start putting his hand in his pocket for the good stuff.

Joking aside, is there a faint petrol smell? That would indicate coke. If you're willing to gum a bit of it and it numbs your gum/teeth, coke. But if it's as crap as it looks, you might not get much of either.

It could be ket, MDMA or speed, but without trying it or getting it tested you won't know.

If he's 20 there's no point telling him not to do it, he's past that point. But presumably you don't want it in your house so if you want to read him the riot act, do it for that, and make him read up on the dangers as penance.

I’m fairly liberal and experienced when it comes to drugs, but I would try my very, very hardest to steer my children away from weed before they’ve turned 25 while the brain is still developing.
