Ever been accused of something ludicrous at work?

Inspired by a current thread.
I was once accused , by another regional admin, of leaving to do the school run every Friday. She emailed the GM and cc'd me in. All because I wasnt avaliable on to take her call on 2 occasions.
I didn't get into trouble because -
I was office based in sight of our GM.
My DC were both in Uni at the time.
The reason I wasnt at my desk was because this was the era of manual tape computer backups and 3pm on a friday was when the secure storage came to collect them.
...and as it turned out SHE was the one sneaking out early !

Ooh do accusations from customers count? Apparently I assaulted one. Because she broke a nail trying to wrestle the bag of books and art supplies she was attempting to shoplift out of my grip...

That's funny but not funny for you.

Do all the posters on here wish they could go back in time, with more confidence and tell the twats to fuck off, drop the real culprits in the shit? because I would.

That I was a ' trouble maker' for highlighting the fact that a team who made no contribution to department targets due to the nature of their role, were being rewarded with our bonus package alongside their own bonus incentives. Fair enough if every single person across the two departments received both sets of bonuses, but nope only they could collect both. 🤷
