Is this expensive for swimming/gym membership?

I pay £27 each month for my concessionary membership (due to my disabilities) at my local council-run gym.

It allows me to access the swimming pool and gym. It’s for off-peak times only. I only use the pool, which I use three times a week.

I thought that my membership was quite steep in price, and wondered how it compares to other parts of the UK. I’m in South Wales.

Bargain, I pay £150 in the NW for a training gym, no pool.

I pay £60 a month for a council leisure centre! That is London though, and includes gym/swim/classes, any time. Only the one centre though, memberships are more expensive if you can use any centre in the borough. Private gyms round here start at around £80 a month and don't usually have pools, and swimming is my favourite form of exercise.

My discounted rate in SE London is £25/mo full access including classes/gym/pool at any of 60 Better centres including the Olympic Pool. So, yes, yours does seem a bit steep. Better is a not for profit, though

I swim three times a week, so it would be much more expensive if I paid for each session individually!

Edited

That’s your answer then - it is a good offer.

I use Better too. That’s a fab deal

@Spicykitten It is - looking at it again, I think it may actually only be off peak, but I've probably never tried to use it at peak hours anyway!!

That's the exact price I pay for Everlast, except it's for all times. I don't think it's overpriced at all though.
