I LOVED Leonard DiCaprio so much (especially in Romeo and Juliet) and now… still think he’s a great actor but, given the chance to run off into the sunset with him, I think I’d be put off by his penchant for the younger lady. Which I guess also means that I’m never going to actually be given the chance to run off into the sunset with him anyway…

Who was yours and are they still your type now you’re both older?

Captain James T Kirk from the original TV show (I was about 7). I thought he was just dreamy. Probably not now though.

I was so obsessed with Christian Slater after I saw him in Heathers. Just gorgeous. He's still attractive these days, but I don't have a crush on him anymore.

And one a lot of you have probably never heard of, Robin Nedwell! I was obsessed with him as a kid! I used to put on a lace curtain and make my grandma pretend she was him, whenever she babysat and we were getting married! 🤣 This was the mid 70s!

Leo Dicaprio, and I loved him before he was famous (his very very early films) and I was raging when titanic came out and everyone loved him because I SAW HIM FIRST. Far too old for him now unfortunately.

Harrison Ford since I saw him in Star Wars aged 8 or 9. I kept the love for many years. It faded a bit with the earring, but I saw him in kilt for a whisky advert yesterday and was quite impressed. He is the same age as my dad though so in recent years I have transferred my crush to Hugh Jackman as a bit more age appropriate.

Richie Cunningham - and no, Ron Howard is no longer my crush!

Actually, Lewis Collins from the Professionals was another love, but he disappeared off the radar for years and is now dead very sadly.

Also Avon from Blake's Seven. The actor's name has slipped my mind but he had the most amazing voice and the character's deep cynicism set my teenage heart alight.
