How do you store plastic food storage boxes??

Sorry this is so mundane. We moved just before Christmas and haven't unpacked these yet - because there's nowhere to put them. Our kitchen is smaller than the previous house with fewer cupboards, and they are all full. We could find space for some sort of rack arrangement under or just by a table, and there is a big garage. I do remember how messy the boxes were when I stored them in a cupboard at my previous house though. Thanks for any wisdom.

If you don't have space then inside a tub, all the same kind, lids and bases stacked separately.

If you do have space (we have just moved and have enormous impossible to fill corner cupboards) storing with lids on is a game changer.

Exactly this. I’m sure someone, somewhere in the world has them sorted, but I also don’t believe that person exists.

It’s my DH! He drives me mad with his attention to detail at times but then he does beautiful things like this and it’s all worth it.

So ours are in a big kitchen drawer (having one of these helps), split up with ikea kitchen drawer dividers. The bottoms are stacked, size wise. And the lids are all stored standing upright organised by size. So you grab the base you need & then it’s easy to find the matching lid.

IKEA do a very similar one that's cheaper Grin

Buy only one type that stacks, and put all the lids into another box.

I use the Sistema Brilliance range. They are quite pricey but take up so much less space in a cupboard.

Get rid of all the random different sizes.

I threw most of mine away and then bought new glass ones from ikea. They all match and stack neatly. Perfect size as well for left overs. Aldi was also selling these recently.

Throw them in a cupboard so as to make a fun game of Jenga when you pull one out. And also spend 15 minutes hunting the corresponding lid.

Same.

Storing them with lids on is good imo. It takes more space but hunting through for the right lid is a pain
