I've made £89.90 from 22 sales. Plan on listing more often!

I've made over £1700 but that's over approx 3 years
I do sell things quite cheaply to shift them but it soon adds up. Well worth it imo. I never use eBay & I only sell stuff I would be happy with.

evtheria · 04/01/2025 23:25

£359 from 19 items Nope, must be approx. 40 items, I clicked the Sold tab which doesn’t seem to show every single thing from the start of my account.

But I'm really lazy about uploading things to sell, I price very carefully so rarely accept offers, and I have definitely spent more than I've made. 😬

I prefer it to Facebook marketplace as the item gets posted. Bit annoying the new Royal Mail option - would like be able to print the label rather than have to queue up at the post office. They have the post boxes but you can not use them without the label already printed 😵‍💫

I like to see how much I can build up. Used it over the summer to pay most of the ferry to Ireland for two cars.

If u go to your settings you can turn off that option.

I have just started today. However I am a bit disappointed at some of the pricing suggestions generally being £2-4. Was hoping for more than that else can't be bothered with the time. So far sold one thing at £7 that they suggested £2 for so hopefully will be ok.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 05/01/2025 00:17

Depends what you’re selling, surely? I’ve bought plenty of things listed at £25-50, and I’ve seen lots of items listed at £100+.

LittleLlama · 05/01/2025 08:13

In the last two years I have sold items and made £506 on Vinted. HOWEVER I have spent £888.92. Overall my net deficit is £381.33.

Admittedly, I did spent £203 on one virtually new electrical item which would have cost £500 brand new and I love. I also bought some new Christmas gifts on here in December, which even with postage would have cost me more in the shops. However, adding this up has been quite a shock.

EBay is a little better. I have only been using this for 2 months. Sold £71 and bought £48.44, so a net gain of £22.56.

Really need to do better in 2025.

daffodilandtulip · 05/01/2025 08:19

Been on a couple of years and made nearly two grand. Toys, clothes, jewellery and general clear outs.

Cottonheadedninhymuggins · 05/01/2025 08:24

I have sold £2160.29 but it doesn’t show me how many items. That’s 2 or 3 years worth of stuff which is finally almost all away.

localhere · 05/01/2025 08:25

Just sold some of the kids outgrown ski gear within 2 days and made £100. I haven't used Vinted in ages but I'm fired up and having a good old clear out. So much easier with the InPost locker thing isn't it!

WinchSparkle80 · 05/01/2025 08:33

£3,772 over 2-3 years. Am a terrible shopper though so most been respent, then sold on again.

LivingLaVidaBabyShower · 05/01/2025 08:37

Joannrida · 04/01/2025 20:16

I've been selling since 2022 and made just over a grand

Same.
Just over £1100 is lifetime amount.

I started as charity shops were full and wouldn't take baby stuff.
Anything i dont want i stick on there for a few weeks before trying to donate or give away.

Crunchymum · 05/01/2025 08:55

I've made £400 (over about 18 months) but I've spent at least double that. I only really buy from Vinted now. Apart from shoes and underwear.

Have had some really good bargains.

NorthernGirlie · 05/01/2025 12:40

I've made 2 sales over night from the bits I uploaded yesterday whixh has spurred me on to load more!

This was last year's grand total, with prob 90% being on Vinted, and the rest on Facebook. The year before was 374 items, but I didn't record money, with probably 60 % on Facebook, the rest Vinted. Facebook has really slowed down.

Mainly kids clothes, not bought to sell, still to s more to go!
Last year's target was 50 a month, this year's is 30 a month.

Snowmanscarf · 05/01/2025 13:10

30 a month! Don’t think I have that many clothes to sell!

Loubilou23 · 05/01/2025 15:08

Easypeasymacncheesy · 04/01/2025 22:33

Are you sure you’ve only sold 49 items? That would have to be an average of £32 per item so unless you are selling high end luxury things that’s doesn’t seem quite right.

Of course I am sure...do you need a screenshot of my vinted account to prove it? 😂😂😂

Loubilou23 · 05/01/2025 15:17

There you go…infact I need to edit - it’s actually £1,653 from 49 items…

I’ve only recently started using Vinted as have always used eBay in the past. So far I’ve sold 4 items and made £140.

3 of the items were good labels though. Only one was a fast fashion item that I probably bought about 15 years ago when I was in my early 20s! It was a skirt that I loved, and was reasonable quality, so I like to think that another young person is loving it now!

gavesomanysigns · 19/05/2025 22:05

Just over £500 on 55 items - most of that since the beginning of March! That does include two old iphones though.

I made this mistake early on. They seem to suggest the lowest sold prices for items. I always check listing prices via a search for the item before listing.

Lookuptotheskies · 19/05/2025 22:11

I've made over 2.5k in sales since I started on vinted. I've been on there a long while though, I'd guess at least three years but not sure how to check the date.

This is just selling old kid's clothes and toys they've grown out of, things we no longer need while I've been decluttering, etc.

A lot of my items are priced at £1 each. I don't think I've ever sold any single item priced at over £20.

I used to buy a lot of lovely wooden toys, scandi clothes for me and the kids, etc, so things you recoup a bit of your initial outlay on when you sell them on I suppose!

BuntyBeaufort · 19/05/2025 22:12

My very first purchase, ordered mid-April still hasn’t arrived. Seller says she posted it a few days later
Chased Vinted, who say I have to wait 25 working days and not to bother them again.
So I guess I’ll just have to write it off and I definitely won’t be using them again.

Whiteflowerscreed · 19/05/2025 22:13

£2283 since I started selling 2 years ago

Tiddlywinkly · 19/05/2025 22:13

I've sold 55 items for £1000 in a month. Busy month! A lot was Sezane pieces that retain their value pretty well and I presented them well (ironed, lots of photos, good lighting) and priced reasonably so they usually sold the night I put them up.

I've bought a few items, which I've loved.

Largely it's been a good experience as a seller and buyer. I've learnt a lot about the process and what to look out for.

I've stopped selling until April next year as I can't be bothered doing a tax return and I've reached my annual limit. Contemplating asking dh to set up an account, but he won't have my 5 star history.

I don’t take any notice of their suggestions either. I’ve sold on eBay long enough to know what stuff is worth without being told by Vinted! First item I sold for £5 to get some feedback. The other items have been around the £40-£50 mark and still sold pretty quickly.
