I wasn't planning on buying anything at all but I've somehow managed to snag a wool coat online M&S half price

It was out of stock anytime I checked until this morning. I woke early & had a look on my phone & it had restocked & i managed to get it!

I'm delighted as it will be an excellent coat for work & I have been on the lookout for ages for one suitable for the office.

I've also fallen in love with a dress someone posted on style & beauty but it's full price & too expensive so I'm resisting it. For now....

Did anyone else get anything nice?

I bought my named Christmas cards. 50% off in town the other day.
And wrote them while drinking a costa coffee. :)

I've added some decorations to my door garland in the garden centre sale too. And picked up some nice decorations for the tree for next year.

Missionimprobable · 31/12/2024 16:11

I bought a leopard print coat and a faux fur rug, I think I'm a walking cliché 😂

mamaduckbone · 31/12/2024 18:56

A half price calendar in Waterstones. There are a few bits I could do with getting but can never be bothered to look until after the new year, by which time everything decent has gone.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2024 18:59

I also bought a half price calendar in Waterstones - and a full price but very beautiful notebook

A very boring t-shirt in the Levis sale - I wanted jeans, but they'd only got wide legged ones in my size, or ones that were three feet too long for me.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2024 18:59

Oh and a sale jumper dress from Phase Eight, but I bought that just before Christmas.

APurpleSquirrel · 31/12/2024 19:10

For DD I've bought some new horse riding tights & some new reusable pads for me.

seasaltandsand · 31/12/2024 21:17

I've taken the plunge for a Dr Dennis Gross LED face mask on sale.. been looking a while and the stars aligned with sale and a further discount code ✨

evtheria · 31/12/2024 21:18

Two jumpers for DS
A Christmas stocking 😂

A Seasalt wool mix coat, pyjamas, Fatface and WhiteStuff cords and some Levi's from Next sale, all things I had my eye on.
A couple of cardigans and Josef Seibel boots from John Lewis
A couple of bras from M&S

Jellykat · 31/12/2024 21:40

Ive bought a jumper from Plumo, still expensive by my standards, but ive worked bloody hard this year and had nothing to show for it.

Divebar2021 · 31/12/2024 21:48

Yes I’ve bought a sweater from Babaa, a pair of trousers from Studio Nicholson and a pair of trousers from M&S.

DangerMouseAndPenfoldx · 31/12/2024 21:55

Cashmere jumper and two silk shirts from M&S.
A jumpsuit and some trousers from Lucy and Yak.
Blazer and chunky jumper from Seasalt via Next sale where they are cheaper.
Adidas gazelles.

Very pleased with all of them and they will be much used.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 31/12/2024 21:58

Snow fairy shampoo from Lush. Didn’t realise they sold shampoo.

TooMuchDontCare · 31/12/2024 21:59

Well impressed that the veggie bits in lidl were 50% off so stocked up on the freezer. Also managed to get some reduced salmon slices and lamb chops.

MrsMitford3 · 31/12/2024 22:04

Impulse M&S pjs for DD (age 24) marked down from £35 to £15 and so cute

Oliver Bonas skirt for DIL-we did go looking for it but it was £65 marked down to £22 and she loves it-wearing it tonight-gorgeous!

A Waterstone's 2025 calendar for me to hang in kitchen-was sure I asked for one for christmas but didn't get given one so needs must. Half price.

MrsMitford3 · 31/12/2024 22:05

Oh and two pork shoulders to put in the slow cooker at about 3:00 this afternoon in Waitrose. Yellow stickers everywhere but I was walking and could not carry any more Xmas Grin

Thewhisperingwindsofwinter · 31/12/2024 22:06

I've bought biscuits from Tesco that come in a lovely tin they were reduced to £4. I also bought a top from Fat Face that was reduced to £16.

Summerhillsquare · 31/12/2024 22:40

Waitrose chocolate Yule log reduced to £1.75 with several days on the use by date, reduced from 7 quid.

PussInBin20 · 31/12/2024 23:01

A diamante handbag from M & S that I had my eye on before the sale. Luckily there was one left that had all the diamantés £25 reduced from £40. Very happy.

purplecorkheart · 31/12/2024 23:05

A dress as I am invited to a wedding in a few months and it really was a bargain (half waiting to get an email saying that it was a price error). I really like the dress though and have worn the brand many times before.
I also bought a pair of sandals to go with the dress. I would have actually been more than happy to buy them full price. They are very plain and neutral so I should get many years wear out of them.

JaffaCake70 · 01/01/2025 12:29

I bought these trousers for my summer holiday, reduced from £55 to £15. They fit well and are very comfortable 👌🏻

Lovely well cut black t-shirt in an independent boutique.
Wool Beanie from Baukjen from John Lewis, beautiful bottle green and already using in this weather.

Calypsocuckoo · 01/01/2025 12:55

Christmas cards, wrapping paper and tags for next year and Christmas napkins and napkins rings from a garden centre
M and S light up biscuit tin for £1
pyjamas and a jumper from Hollister (and the teens ordered loads of things with varying success so some will have to be returned)
fit flop shearling boots (look like uggs but with a proper sole, they are lovely) -would only buy in the sale as Fitflop have gone very expensive but they are the only shoes I can wear due to Plantar Fasciitis
