We won’t have a car. Will land at Charles de Galle and then I believe we can get the train there.
Please can I have your recommendations for a hotel on site ie right at Disneyland Paris- thanks.

How many people and what is your budget? How many nights? Do you want a pool? Would you want to go Club Level (nicer rooms, fridge in rooms, separate breakfast area, breakfast and afternoon tea included)? Do you want a meal plan? There are a number of on site hotels, generally the more you spend the closer to park you’ll be and nicer class of hotel. Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay are about the same distance though just on opposite sides of the lake.

Nightime46 · 27/12/2024 07:26

Hi, just looking for as many suggestions as possible and then I can decide… ie recommendations for hotels on site that people liked. There doesn’t need to be a pool.

We stayed at Santa Fe, it's Cars themed and is the cheapest on site hotel and furthest from the parks but still only 20 min ish walk and there is a free shuttle.
I'd recommend it, we literally only slept there as only there a few days so I didn't see the point spending more, unless you want to be closer to the parks.

It all depends on budget. Disneyland Hotel would be amazing, Marvel looked great, we stayed at Sequoia which was perfectly fine and about a 15 minute walk.

Longma · 27/12/2024 07:40

We stayed at the cheapest one - Santa Fe.
We knew we would be using it just to sleep after long days and not making any use of any other hotel facility. We just wanted somewhere with a comfortable bed that we could walk from and to at either end of the day.

Years ago we stayed at Davy Crixketts as we had a car and drive in/out.

Longma · 27/12/2024 07:41

Friends have stayed at the big Disneyland Hotel at the gates and just said un hindsight it wasn't worth the money as they spent so little time in the hotel. Their children just wanted to be in the parks so, other than it being a hit closer, the rest of the facilities were just wasted money.

Last year we stayed at Cheyenne which is Toy Story themed, it has been done up and roughly 15/20 min walk to the park. I really liked it. It has a Starbucks and I was told the restaurant was good but we didn't use it. I've stayed in Santa Fe and 3 of the offsite ones and def think Cheyenne was best.

Nightime46 · 27/12/2024 07:54

These are great suggestions- so far my favourite looks like it’s the Sequoia but will look into them all…. I take it that all the hotels on site have a free shuttle right into the park?

We have stayed in the marvel hotel. It's amazing! One of the nicest hotels we have been too.
We went for a character lunch at the Disneyland hotel and that looked stunning so would love to give that a try but not sure about the extra cost.

Vettrianofan · 27/12/2024 08:29

You'll hardly stay at the hotel, it's just a place to lay your head for the night.

We didn't stay on site though. Stayed at the Adagio hotel with swimming pool (which had no showers!).

popandchoc · 27/12/2024 08:31

I’ve stayed at Santa Fe and Newport bay . Both good but Newport bay more expensive. Santa Fe was around a 20 min walk to park and Newport bay 10-15 mins . Newport bay has a pool but it’s a bit cold . We only used it once as busy in parks .

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 27/12/2024 08:32

I stayed at Newport bay in November - it was pretty much the same price as the 'cheaper' ones when I went.

We liked it,

WTFMywork · 27/12/2024 08:33

Off site hotels have free shuttles. We stayed at Relais Spa at the end of October and had no issues with transfers.

Vettrianofan · 27/12/2024 08:34

We went for two full days in the October holidays this year. Two days was plenty for both parks IMO. I couldn't have walked for a third full day!! Was in agony by the end of the second day with all the walking.

Vettrianofan · 27/12/2024 08:36

Yes @WTFMyWork I agree, we found it all straightforward with staying off site due to regular shuttle buses to and from hotels in the nearby area outside the resort. It wasn't an issue.

AndAllOurYesterdays · 27/12/2024 08:38

The Marvel hotel is beautiful. Feels like staying in a high end hotel and so close to the park. However it is £££. We've also stayed at the Newport which is a bit tired in comparison but substantially cheaper.

HPandthelastwish · 27/12/2024 08:38

We stayed at Santa Fe, 20 minutes walk to the park, we only ate their once the rest of the time we had breakfast in the park. We got the Shuttle once from the hotel in the morning but that was horrendous, lots of pushing and shoving to get on, similar going back from the park and massive queues it was better to walk. We spent such little time at the hotel anything more expensive would have been daft. But I would consider one of the ones near the Lake if I was going in the summer so you can nip back for a break during the day, we were there in February so the park opening hours were shorter.

We had lots of character meals though and ate in the big Disney hotel and went there for the BibbidinBobbidinboo salon for DDs princess makeover before the Princess lunch.

CandlesOrangesRedribbon · 27/12/2024 08:45

Op the whole area was purpose built for Disney so even not in site hotels are practically on site.
Hy park apartments are supposed to be good, we used hotel eylesee and found it to be excellent, fridge in room, excellent service, the shuttle to the park, and right by the train stop and a huge shop center for food, bakery etc etc m
If you walked form there it would be a good 15 mins. Same as many on site hotels.

Edit to add your the first shuttle stop so no pushing and shoving

loneter · 27/12/2024 08:49

We stayed at Santa Fe. We just walked from the hotel. An on-site hotel was worth it as it gave us early access and we could transfer our luggage direct to the hotel. We barely spent any time at the hotel though so wasn't worth paying for a more expensive hotel.

SauvignonBlonk · 27/12/2024 08:59

I’ve stayed in Santa Fe and Sequioa Lodge on site. They’re both fine. Sequioa was a bit nicer and slightly closer, it’s a nice walk beside the lake to the park gates.

SprigatitoYouAndIKnow · 27/12/2024 09:04

We stayed at Sequoia and liked it. My kids needs down time away from the sensory overload, so it was good to have somewhere close to come back to in the day. Ot is surrounded by trees and by the lake, so was calming. The pool was freezing, so we did use, but couldn't stay in long. Buffet breakfast is great as there is something for everybody and the rooms were comfortable, not high spec. One thing to note is that there are very few plugs, so take multi adapters if you want to charge multiple things.

MajorCarolDanvers · 27/12/2024 09:06

We’ve stayed at Cheyenne - budget. 10 mins on bus on bus to park. Perfectly nice rooms good breakfast.

and Newport 4 star. Bit of luxury. Lovely rooms. Lovely breakfast. Pool. 10 mins walk to park. They are all nice. Just decide what you want to pay and go from there.

Spaceid · 27/12/2024 09:07

The Disney Hotel was lovely. Amazingly comfortable beds and the on site restaurants offered character dining which the little ones loved. Good selection for breakfast and so handy as it’s in the park. You can pop back if you need a rest or a swim or spa. It made it so easy as our luggage was taken at the train station and put straight into our rooms, the same on the way home leaving you to enjoy full days in the park.

Obi73 · 27/12/2024 09:14

We stayed on site in the Disney Hotel and loved it. Yes it was expensive but the characters were there every morning to meet us for breakfast which was great; celebrity spotting was also fun and we could pop back for snacks/drinks when we felt like it without the crowds and queues.
The pool was also a good way to relax after a busy day and interestingly the room service meal we had one evening was the cheapest meal we had the whole time we were there.

Feb135 · 27/12/2024 09:14

I had a strange spell of corporate team bonding events at Disneyland Paris so I've stayed in nearly every hotel from the Disney Hotel to Davy Crockett's.

When the kids were younger we used to pay for the Disney Hotel simply for the location and not having to catch shuttles. Some of the rooms have a nice view of the castle, the buffets were good and they liked the character meets (though I'm sure all the hotels have this).

The other advice I'd give is that the park was bizarrely cold whenever we went.
