What are you going to do with your Christmas Day food leftovers?

Assuming you have any, of course. Leftover roast potatoes are quite rare, I gather, but mash and other vegetables often end up as bubble and squeak.

I’ve made up several portions of Christmas dinner for mum’s freezer! Doesn’t cook anymore so will make a nice homemade meal for a few nights over the next month or two!

That's an amazing idea, thanks. My mum is on her own, this would be great for her

One year I made mini pasties with the leftover veg might see if I can do that again this year if there's enough left.

Also got sausage meat in the freezer for sausage rolls one day.

Bacon that came in our butchers Christmas hamper will be part of American pancake breakfast one day possibly new year's day.

Chipolatas again from butchers Christmas hamper will be done with mash one day for a meal.

I'm making a Christmas pie for the freezer to have in January. Veg, meat, pigs in blankets, stuffing (no potatoes left) - everything has gone in cut up in little bits, my husband likes onion sauce with his roast so thats gone in too and the gravy then topped with pastry, cook and freeze.
Then will make a big batch of turkey veg soup and freeze that for lunches throughout January

Tonight's dinner will use them up. We don't have much.

We had a big turkey for just two of us so We'll be eating Turkey and chips with gammon, sausagemeat, stuffing and pigs in blankets, and sandwiches for several days, along with the soup once it's been made. The leftover carrots and roast potatoes have gone in the soup pot and the other vegetables have gone outside for the foxes. I'm not sure how we're going to get through all of the fresh puddings and smoked salmon before it's use by date but we'll make a valiant effort 😆😆

Only had some beef and gravy left so I minced that down and mixed with gravy. I’ll freeze it and either use as a pie filling or serve with vegetables in a giant Yorkshire.

What's left has been eaten. We had goose and there were 4 of us. Some left for today with left over veg and some Yorkshire puddings. Not had goose at home as it has been provided by the in laws before now (not v.often)but bought one this year. It was lovely.
