I need some ideas! We’re not big on walks but will definitely be needing to get out of the house.

Taking dog for walk
Bubble and squeak (Xmas leftovers) cold meats, pickles for lunch
Then off to watch football

Catsmere · 22/12/2024 20:10

Staying inside with the cooler on, it's going to be 39C here. Not that I was planning anything, I don't do Christmas at all.

Sheknowsaboutme · 22/12/2024 20:49

DH and the kids will watch the football. Im out for a mountain walk with a friend. Possibly snowdon

AuntieMarys · 22/12/2024 20:54

Walking. Pub.
Cheese

Hudders3 · 22/12/2024 20:57

Pjs, leftovers, tv, few drinks, maybe some board or card games, dog walk, sometimes go to cinema and have a beer on the way home. I don't plan it just see how we feel on the day!

Sunnyside4 · 22/12/2024 21:35

Things have changed around, so probably having the best day of Xmas. Haven't planned it yet, but no doubt a walk up and over local hill, play a game, a sport we enjoy has a major contenders we're each into, so will touch base with that. Also, I enjoy going through my Xmas presents and finding a home for them.

DelilahBucket · 22/12/2024 21:47

DS goes to his dad's so me and DH always go on a long walk, sometimes with a stop off at the local for a swift drink, and then back for Christmas dinner round two. We've got a nature reserve not overly far so this year we'll be walking around there.

Decafflatteplease · 22/12/2024 21:51

We normally see family but they are away this year. We are not sure what to do we are thinking of cinema as it's only £2.50 each for the kids thing but it's 10am which is early!

Bizarred · 22/12/2024 21:52

It's dc's birthday. Very difficult day to have a birthday. No trains running, so no trips to London. Lots of restaurants not open. No friends available to see. Extended family really don't want to bother. We just have to try our hardest to make it good for them.

butterfly0404 · 22/12/2024 21:52

Dressing up and going to the Races :-)

InWalksBarberalla · 22/12/2024 21:53

Staying out of the heat and watching the cricket.

CurlsandCurves · 22/12/2024 21:59

I’ll be enjoying my last day off before I go back on 27th.
DH and DS2 will be going to the football but that’s not till later in the day.
DS1 will no doubt be nocturnal having gone out to see friends on Christmas evening.

All in all a very slow day for us.

HumphreysCorner · 24/12/2024 19:49

Absolutely pjs and party food and lots of tv and games from Christmas 🎄

Chipsahoy · 24/12/2024 19:51

I love Boxing Day. We tidy up a bit and then open more presents, I always save some back for Boxing Day.
We eat plenty of leftovers and watch films. We avoid the beach or forest walks because like New Year’s Day, Boxing Day is when every man and his dog is out walking.

Thewrongdoor · 24/12/2024 20:05

Working, then going to the ballet.

PermanentTemporary · 24/12/2024 20:17

I'll be working. Ds and dp will mooch about doing their own things, then we are all off to see meet up with dp's kids and exwife at his dd's new house.

Babbahabba · 25/12/2024 09:33

Going bowling with teen & primary aged DD as it's something they can both do, followed by McDonalds & choc cake!

Itsaswelltime · 25/12/2024 09:35

Going to the physio, eating any leftovers, going for a walk (length of walk weather dependant), going to get some fresh bread.

Lovesea658 · 25/12/2024 09:36

Just stay at my home and play with my cat.

billysboy · 25/12/2024 09:45

at Home watching the racing

PandaChopChop · 25/12/2024 09:51

I've managed to recuse myself from all family commitments (DC going to their dad's later today) tomorrow. I've had an exceedingly stressful few months so tomorrow I plan on doing absolutely nothing but eat, drink and sleep.
I think I have some friends coming over in the evening but nothing confirmed and they will just have to take me as they find me!

Decafflatteplease · 25/12/2024 20:13

We are going to the cinema in the morning then home for lunch and an afternoon of playing with new toys followed by leftovers for dinner

Boredlass · 25/12/2024 20:24

Pub and football. Can’t wait

soundsys · 25/12/2024 20:26

Building Lego, playing games, eating leftovers then going for a walk with friends to the pub
